I agreed with the OP... and it's common knowledge there in that my views support. It's your burden of proof to disprove common knowledge about the OP and it's content.
How does private citizens requesting the removal of books in public schools make Ron DeSantis a dictator? Ask Elon Musk if the Biden Administration is “asking nicely.”
I didn't say anything about the OP. My comment that you needed to cite your sources was entirely about this post: One reason I know that your post is factually incorrect is that Dr. Seuss died in 1991. No pressure came at him from any earthly source in the 2020s. Dr. Seuss - Wikipedia Theodor Seuss Geisel (/suːs ˈɡaɪzəl, zɔɪs -/ ⓘ sooss GHY-zəl, zoyss -;[2][3][4] March 2, 1904 – September 24, 1991)[5] was an American children's author and cartoonist. He is known for his work writing and illustrating more than 60 books under the pen name Dr. Seuss (/suːs, zuːs/ sooss, zooss).[4][6] His work includes many of the most popular children's books of all time, selling over 600 million copies and being translated into more than 20 languages by the time of his death.[7]
All pressure brought on by the Leftists and the lefts government... otherwise he would have changed his books long ago... on his own.
I imagine this request is about as innocent as a boss asking their subordinate employee for sex. From Amazon's perspective, maybe this was consensual and agreed upon. Nonetheless, there are very few CEOs who would be principled enough to say no in this situation given the power and the influence of the one making the request. Biden and the Democrats absolutely have the power and influence to seek revenge if Amazon does not comply with this supposedly innocent request. The OP is spot on here. This is a totally different scenario than the government choosing which books are made available to children on the government's dime in a government library. One scenario threatens the profitability of a major corporate entity that lays a substantial portion of the train tracks upon which free speech runs in this country. The other scenario is simply the government choosing not to purchase a book and offer it for free to a portion of the public. I don't expect many to acknowledge these are different scenarios, but the story in the OP is a very big deal. It shows soft tactics are being employed by the DNC to control the channels of free speech.
It doesn't Sure, but he hasn't been answering my emails lately. But out of curiosity, what has the Biden admin forced him to do?
I guess we consider managing a public health crisis and trying to get accurate information to people to be authoritarianism as opposed to you know, trying to keep your citizens alive.
Just to be clear, the 'alarming harassment' of Musk consists of: - requesting the recall of 2 million Tesla vehicles because of concern with its autopilot after crashes with parked emergency vehicles among other accidents. That's a lot of vehicles, but I don't think it's anywhere the largest recalls in history. - Not giving Starlink almost $900 million in subsidies.
Haven't checked out the other one. Are those the two examples of alarming harassment, or did I miss something?
You seem to dig your head in the sand when you read as much as when you moderate. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised.
From the Hill article you were responding to. “Musk released the infamous Twitter files, which showed the White House conspiring to censor communications on platforms like Facebook and Twitter. A judge last summer described the administration’s efforts to control information about COVID-19 vaccines on social media as “an almost dystopian scenario.” He further said, “During the COVID-19 pandemic, a period perhaps best characterized by widespread doubt and uncertainty, the United States Government seems to have assumed a role similar to an Orwellian ‘Ministry of Truth.’””
I'm sorry. The question I asked was "what has the Biden admin forced Musk to do?" Does the judge's ruling answer that at all? If I'm missing something, please explain. We are talking about your claims that Biden is an authoritarian dictator. At some point, you'd think there would be something (or a whole bunch of things) that he made people do against their wishes. I mean, isn't that what a dictator does?
And I asked if that was the only thing you got from the articles I sent you. If you don’t see any application of pressure here on Musk/Twitter, you’re either absurdly naive or you’re not being honest. Neither would surprise me.
Biden has applied more pressure through the executive branch on his opposition than Trump ever did. People around here call Trump an authoritarian. Would it not then logically follow that Biden is an authoritarian?
I guess short of a statement from Joe Biden himself saying “let’s target Trump because he’s not convenient for me” or “let’s target Elon Musk because he’s not listening to me,” nothing at all can point back to evidence of politically motivated targeting from the Biden Administration. It’s all just a convenient series of coincidences. Almost like how people inconvenient to Tony Soprano just happen to start disappearing.
I don’t know. But if I were going to call someone a dictator, I’d make i could point to a bunch of things he dictated.
Yeah that seems to be a recurring pattern with you. You don’t seem to know much of anything. You just deny the existence of evidence even if it’s staring you square in the face. This isn’t one isolated incident. We have a pattern of attacks from executive officials against Musk and against Trump. You think that’s just a coincidence? You’re the type of person that on a jury, you wouldn’t think possession of the murder weapon at the scene of the crime is enough. You’d need video footage of the defendant actually using the murder weapon followed by an admission from the defendant saying he did it. I have my suspicions that this standard is malleable based on convenience of the moment, however.
