I do not blame you for asking, but we sat in the first row behind the on-deck circle, and there is nothing wrong with Sky. We were playing Bethune Cookman, so why not let Mia get some SS, and rest her for the Horns Down?
Those were two beautiful scenes. I cannot say for sure, but I believe CTW had tears in his eyes for Baylee. She deserved that and so much more. She is the quiet leader of that team. Liv knew what was going on. She started pressing the last two batters, and I thought she might let the pressure get to her. I think she might have blacked out like the guy who caught the winning touchdown in the Super Bowl.
The look on her face was priceless when team let her know and to celebrate the moment. Ava and Emily were hugging her.
I am fine with the soft schedule the next few weeks. The freshmen pitchers need experience, and we will have more than enough tough games in sec play.
Lol. Ucla bias. How are they 2-3 with run rule losses and still ranked top 25? Also I can’t remember the pre season poll but did they drop us down after the extra inning loss to Michigan?
Yeah, it that it matters that much right now, but that poll is weird. The whole reason we are low presumably is because of pitching. We go 4-1 with the loss being in 10 innings to a decent team, allow 5 runs in five games (and 2 of those runs were under extra inning rules and the other three in a blowout), and we dropped? Seems like it doesn't match reality. Especially after all the top 25 upsets. Guess people didn’t watch many games.
Sooooooo, what does everyone think of the extra innings rule to place the leadoff batter on 2B….or has that been discussed? Unbelievable bad bad new rule imo.
It is what it is this time of year. All of these player are used to it and it has always been a thing.
Is it only for the regular season or does it carry over into postseason play? I don’t like it carrying over into postseason, but it doesn’t bother me at all for regular season games.
Need to let this die but given the very early change that's all I was asking. For someone to simply say "must be just mixing it up because she is acting normal". But that never happened.
yes it is only in these early tournament situations or of the coaches agree to it in a regular game I think.
This is so laughable now. Kyle needs to have a better insider, or he got disinfoed. We were sitting in the stands on Friday night, and I waved at Mrs. Rothrock. She got up and walked down and talked with us 10-15 minutes. I asked her about the rumors that Keagan was hurt. She said there was nothing at all wrong with Keagan. She was right, LOL. She did say Kendra nailed her with a line drive to her left shoulder, thank goodness, in practice last week, and she had a big lump there. It did not seem to affect her.
Scrappy: We are talking at cross-hairs. Your post is today. Not yesterday when my concern was raised and there was no response. Obviously she was fine since she started and played the second game and the concern was resolved at that time. I have no problem with a decision to let Mia get time at ss. Listening on the radio there was no way to determine that was what was happening, and that it was not something more concerning, given the change was unusually early in the game and immediately after Skylar had fully exerted herself on the bases. Our crack announcing team didn't figure out defensive changes had even been made until an inning or two later. But I could tell when it happened by following the official stats along with the radio broadcast.
I apologize. I did not notice the dates. We got back to Gainesville around eight o'clock, and after sitting in the sun all weekend, I was too whipped to read or write.
