Listened to and MAN! Those guys were unsparing in their criticism of Napier. One called his behavior bush league.

Schmidt and Mariotti were both at UF and won championships prior to leaving with Stoops and Urban respectively. A good S&C leads to championships

 

Then why hire him?

 

So, just pretend your last name is Hocke and you're the newly "moved upstairs" Motivation Coach for the Gators. Which chaps your butt more? CBN comes into your office and asks you to bail him out by moving back downstairs to resume duties as the S&C coach? Or, CBN doesn't ask you but instead looks for yet another guy at S&C?

 

That dude is sketchy... can't stay in one place long.

 

Exactly. Dodged a bullet. We need to steal a stud S&C coach though, back up the brinks truck. This is a crucial hire.

 

I think some are taking this a little hard. Nothing is sketchy. The guy got an offer from one of his good friends at the school he has a big connection to. It was very unlucky for us, but nothing more imo.

Yup. Just another in a series of terrible timed events that have cursed this program for years now. Really crappy cascade of events for this to have happened.

 

But does he do leg day or skip it?

 

His legs have to carry around his upper body. Every day is leg day!

 

Emotional reactions.

 

*yawns* Since we now know that Princely was wrong, that the previous regime wasn’t privileging endurance over strength and hypertrophy - and since there is nothing new under the sun in terms of strength and conditioning - I doubt that the choice of coach makes much difference.

 

That is petty, circling the drain type stuff there. I think it tells us what we need to know about where this is all going.
