That is a list of some fantastic point guards! I would throw in - for the older Gators - Clifford Lett. He actually played only 3/4 of a year at PG but took over when Jose Ramos left the team and proceeded to lead the Gators to their first SEC regular season basketball championship ever.

completely agree that he is playing at an all SEC level. He is everything you look for in a point guard. An A+++ transfer pickup

Yes, I would say along with Cheese and Wilbekin, he's our best guard in the last 20-30 years. So poised. Wish we could have him for a 6th year.

He shoots the 10-12 footer as well as anyone in the country. When he takes one, I just assume it's going in.

And he always seems to take it (and make it) right after the other teams hits a big bucket and has all the momentum.

He has a lot of shots in his arsenal, I love his game. His floater feels like it is automatic right now. I wish we had more time together

Yeah, he’s been a crowd silencer or opponent’s momentum stopper when we need it the most. Very poised in the big moments. He seems to recognize the situation and make it a point to change it.

. Surprised when he misses. Add Clayton's fire and steel and we may have the pair who take us deep into March. In a perfect world they lift each other to an even higher level

Even if we get a good replacement, I just don’t see anyone being what he is. Just an absolute stud.

He’s definitely unique, but it’s also worth saying no one saw this coming. If we could find him, I am reasonably confident we can replace him. Maybe not the same guy, but a guy who fits what we need.

ZP has been such a good pick up. I was kinda like Murph. I wondered why we were going after another guard after we got Clayton.

Sometimes, it’s great to be that wrong.

I always argue for Calathes as one of our best PGs ever, but he's not very popular around here.

As a pair, they really work well together. ZP knows when and where to get WC the ball for maximum effect. And the defense has to constantly guard ZP because he'll score easily if they don't. It's fun to watch.

As an aside, Micah made a great bounce pass to Riley for the easy layup. Would love to see more of Riley moving without the ball and breaking for the hoop, and it seems we're seeing that now.

Already lamenting that we don’t have him another season. Same with Samuels

Love the thread OP! ZP deserves every accolade we can throw at him!

Gator Nation should appreciate our rotation. We have 8 really solid players (4 and 4).

UF is getting a little love too. Coach Jimmie Dykes likes the rotation.

Just beat Cal and Bruce. 2 more points against tamu and UF is on a 6 game SEC winning streak.

6 - 4 in SEC play but the team is on the come.

Coach Golden seems to be getting the rotation in a groove now.

Riley Kugel demonstrated that when he is in sink with the rotation he is playing with he can be lethal.

The SEC is considered the best league out there, and seems to be proving it.

I don't think 10 - 8 or 11 - 7 is out of reach for UF if they keep improving, and that would get us into the dance IMO.

Just happy after 23 games UF looks to have a legit shot at the dance again.

Best since Chiozza. Going back through history, UF has had a lot of great guards.

I had him slated as an assured starter and the second best player… behind Clayton.
    He has exceeded my expectations.

Post ZP does sound depressing but if everyone comes back that can/should we'll be in good shape. Will still have Clayton and the big guys less Tyrese. The future is bright with CTG I think.
