I agree with the last sentence. Garland will probably resign at end of Biden's current term and Biden (or if he changes his mind and decides not to seek a second term his replacement as the Democratic presidential nominee) will appoint a new AG.

Exactly. Democrats defend Biden by bringing up Trump but the fact is Biden is 81 and while I get no pleasure whatsoever watching an elderly man lose it mentally, it is very uncomfortable and almost painful to hear him speak these days. It is an embarrassment that these two guys are the last ones standing and one will actually be elected later this year.

 

Biden is NOT losing it mentally. That's just false, and to think so suggests a deficit of cognition.

You can, as Hur did, invent a long, circuitous story that (a) Biden's aside referred to the Afghanistan folder, (b) he was desperate to keep those documents in order to write a book that had nothing to do with Afghanistan, and (c) even though he was keenly aware the folder was in his garage, he left it in plain sight in an old box instead of hiding it or filing it or tossing it out when the investigation started.

So what you're saying is that Biden is a white version of himself? By the way although it's counter-intuitive the entertainer with the orange complexion has demonstrated on multiple occasions that he is more cognitively diminished than Joe Biden even though he is four years younger.

If we had statemen or women how did we end up here is the question that would have been debated the last 8 years. The idea of electing Trump was laughable 10 years ago. The idea of electing someone who has demonstrated the cognitive decline of Biden would have been unimaginable. Yet here we are.

It's an indictment of both parties and the ruling class in general. Some soul searching is needed.

But we are going to cheer for our side, curse the other and just keep going down the same path.
