Russia should have become an ally of the West long ago. One day the US and Russia will be allies. If this happens under a Democrat president I suppose you'll cheer. Sorry to see you oppose free speech. So did communists .
Tucker's interview was what journalists are supposed to do. Present both sides of an argument. The American journalist Gonzalo Lira did that on his podcasts from inside Ukraine. Ukraine tortured and imprisoned him for exposing neocon and Zelensky lies and corruption After 8 months Lira died in prison. Lira's father feared he would die in prison, just like he predicted on Tucker Carlson's podcast. I did what I could to get Gonzales freed but the State Dept (in my opinion) wanted him dead. Nothing was done to free him. I bet my detractors were up in arms when the non-US citizen Khashoggi was sliced and diced.
I am critical of both sides here. I think the Democrats could have avoided war by not attempting to bring Ukraine into NATO. Nonetheless, a good person who values human life would not have invaded Ukraine even if they disliked them joining NATO. The Ukraine invasion is a pretty clear demonstration of what kind of value Putin puts on human life, which is not much. And that is why all of the ill will towards Putin is 100% deserved.
If you think Putin or Russia is your enemy you should at least know what they think. If you want to avoid war to keep America strong you should know where the red lines are drawn so you don't prove a competitor (you:d say enemy) into a war. At the end of the day the wars the US entered since 2000 will cost around 15 trillion dollars. Open borders could cost America a similar amount. I oppose open borders and war. I support free speech. Those .are patriotic American values.
Ukraine was preparing to invade the Donbas and ethnically cleanse ethnic Russians. That's what the Steps Banderistas, Right Secyor, S19 and neonazis in the Azov battalion wanted. US neocons were all for this. The oligarch Kolomoisk (who helped Zelensky become president) had his ere on the raw materials in the eastern region. Putin invaded to stop the slaughter.
I'm not sure that was necessarily a partisan issue until recently, (and even more recently, there have been lots of Republicans who have been pro Ukraine). Interestingly, prior to Trump being president, it appears that Republicans were more likely than Democrats to support Ukraine becoming a member of NATO. Interesting how things seem to have changed over a relatively short time period. 1. NATO Public Opinion: Wary of Russia, Leery of Action on Ukraine Members of both parties support NATO membership for Ukraine. Such support is greater among the GOP (71%) than among Democrats (59%). Moreover, there is a partisan difference about U.S. obligations to come to the military assistance of other NATO members. Nearly seven-in-ten Republicans (69%) say that Washington should come to the aid of its allies in the event of Russian aggression. But only 47% of Democrats back that long-standing U.S. treaty obligation, while 48% oppose it.
I go to college mesdage boards to gather Intel for betting. Attended UNLV, University of Chicago as well as UF. The reason I came over to the political board was to feed you guys some inside info on Trump's VP pick. The odds on this person were as high as 50:1 and dropped below 10':1.. Trump may have changed his mind but I hearf a Trump deep insider say it was the black neurosurgeon who wrote "Gifted Hands." Not mentioning his name because I don't want this info to be googleable. Odds on BC we're riding last I checked and I want to place another bet. Never bet more than you are comfortable losing. Trumpay have changed his mind. Hopefully I'm not getting banned for this comment. I don't charge anything for info, it's all FREE I'll be leaving this site soon to go back to the real world
Putin got what he paid for with Trump, but I still think it all actually goes back to W. His failure and the election of Obama really broke some people’s minds imo. Some of the same people who were touting “freedom fries” and ostracizing those who were against the Iraq invasion suddenly want to break up NATO and lecture about “American adventurism”. Seeing that term used to describe Ukraine cracks me up.
Lol! ...no, seriously, what are they really ly afraid of? It's straight up bizzare to see this left wide peeing in their pants about hearing what an adversary has to say. To a journalist. In an interview. I mean, Gavin Newsom rolled out the red carpet for Xi. Cleaned up the skank streets of Frisco, basically erected a ptemkin village for him, and kissed his ass for several days. Newsom is a poly and even was a prospective POTUS. TC is just a journalist (ok, let's say an entertainer/journalist--but that literally makes even more benign).
You might be right. The people that use any of their time to listen to TC are FUBARed already and probably cannot be integrated back into society.
I can only speak for me - I’m not scared, or peeing in my pants (well, not because of this). I am angry that Tucker — a proven liar who lacks an ounce of integrity— has any platform whatsoever.
Yeah, but it was Putin who gave him that platform. For obvious reasons, he has denied most requests for interviews from Western media. And stop “peeking your pants.” That sounds awfully creepy, whatever it means …
Analysis of the Putin interview from The Duran on YouTube. As the 2 Alexanders note, Putin's target audience was Americans unfamiliar with his (Putin's) take on the war, which was unfortunately suppressed by the networks, CNN and MSNBC. Alexander Mercouris is the man on the right. He's an expert on Russia and sympathetic to Putin. He is amti-deep state and anti-neovon.
This YouTuber, ”The Duran”, has extreme right wing bias and can’t be trusted. (Not to mention, do not want to watch a BS video for 50 mins). “extreme bias, consistent promotion of propaganda/conspiracies, poor or no sourcing to credible information,”
Tucker really got an education as to what life in Russia is life for journalists. Putin demanded possession of the interview and cut out everything he didn't like including a lot of the small portion where Tucker got to talk. It's such a shame when reality crashes into a well crafted right wing narrative.
