At least Aykroyd was Canadian, that was a good enough reason.

Ignoring her duet with Kenny Rogers...don't fall in love with a dreamer

I actually didn't realize Bette Davis Eyes was the #1 song of the year and a Grammy winner

Remember the song well, but I had to look up her name to be honest.

So that was a lot of fun and so many sweet moments between them. I love so many of those artists. Having said that, I think Michael Jackson's voice is the only one whose absence would have made the song significantly less good. I'm bias and I know he had an oversized role in the song, but he was just that great IMO. I don't know if we've ever seen a better performer.

Be interesting to search to see if Waylon talked later about his walk out.

I think it said at the end that the song has raised $80M to date. Read elsewhere that it was $60M? Am I the only one who would have guessed much higher?

Wasn't a fan of either....but Tyler had some other hits. Holding out for a Hero in Footloose most notable

It's worse if you take design over the summer. Final project I went to bed on Tuesday night, went to class on Wednesday morning and didn't sleep again until after presentations on Friday afternoon. Went home after and stared at the ceiling for an hour before I fell asleep. Woke up and it was 24 hours later. But I was really rested for a saturday night at the Porpise.

Brutal. I never took summer design. My worst run was 80 hours with only 8 hours sleep during Design 4. Also had that happen where I slept for almost 24 hours catching up on sleep. So disorienting. Arch Class of '93, BTW.

Yep, B. of Design in 91. Was a T/A for environmental technology in grad school with Siebien and Fred Morgan. Finished classes in 93 but didn't finish my thesis until '96. Had to stay and see Danny dismantle the Semis.
