He’s panicking. That pretty much sums it up. In over his head. He’s gotta W this season. I actually believed he might survive a subpar season because of his buyout. I’m not so sure now.
I have a hard time sitting through her videos in one go. Will usually pause them, watch something else, and come back. Not because I disagree with her. She needs a voice coach and better sound. It is not so much the words she says as how she says them and how it sounds. Compare her to any woman on Sports Center, her voice sounds thin, peaky and nasally.
He gets 2025 due to the combination of Strength of schedule Buyout size Merry go round fatigue Lack of obvious program savior (or even semi savior) on the horizon
Gators will be better next season but might have a worse record. I could see us only winning three or four games.
All of this is sound logic. I would also say the reason why Mus-take got 4 years is because we were read the riot act when we got rid of Zook in 3 years. And, except for Mac who decided to jettison with a Golden Parachute, we have pretty much kept that philosophy. But everyone should have known he was Dead Man Walking after the Ga Southern debacle. And so, we had a mess on our hands because the competition smelled blood in the water. And, IMO, it is WAY worse these days. I have posted plenty of times that the W-L record may be an irrelevance this season due to the monster schedule. BUT, "progress" is like what a Supreme Court justice many years replied about the definition of "obscene", he said he could not define it but he knew it when he saw it. That to me is what Napier is going to be facing this next season, if there are the same silly coaching brain farts but with more talented players, I see a Dead Man Walking scenario again. It is a damn hard thing to say, but it appears as if his entire FBS career is going to hinge on Lagway being transcendent as a freshman. Otherwise...
If fail due to lack of getting better players, then I agree. I fail due to OC play calling, then not so much. There were games where we moved the ball better and people said the play calling was better. To me, it was a matter of execution throughout the season, not the calls themselves. Our OL didn't help the execution because of poor play, IMO. It comes down to Jimmys and Joes and that's where we lacked. Sure, the palys/schemes could have been better, but that's not what caused our problems
Tend to agree with this. If for only the simple reason that our roster isn't three consecutive 5-7 years. Recruiting has been better than that. Portal management is not as good though.
Not firing for the sake of not firing is lunacy. If he has a third consecutive losing season he’s gone. The only ones defending him will be Stricklin and Stricklin’s supporters. And he will be gone together with Billy. That man does not get to hire another Gator football coach.
Not predicting wins total, but if he were to win 3-4 games next year it would show a clear downward trend year by year with no improvement in sight. At that point burn it all down and start over.
Last year’s team would be lucky to win four games on that schedule. an improved team may only win five games next year. They would have to be very much improved to an eight
