Anyone have an idea where to get a Pell/Hall era throwback Jersey? Desperate to obtain one. Someone mentioned in the Twitter Updates thread how great the stadium full of Gators looked in all orange back then and I wondered if there is a source for jerseys that were meant for full sized shoulder pads with full sleeves. Nostalgia and all, but I have a more meaningful need for one with specified number.

I think if you go buy yourself a fishnet mesh and paint it orange it might be close to what you are wanting. Oh for the days of tear-a-ways.
I think every game that we wear throwback jerseys we should also wear the huge throwback shoulder pads and see if the other team freaks out.
As a Gators game used jersey collector, I don’t know anyone making good/accurate replicas of the 80s jerseys. They were a synthetic mesh material with fairly large holes and the numbers were screen printed with a really thick ink. An easy ‘close enough’ project would be to order the standard customized (name and number) Fanatics jersey in a really large size, and then cut/hem the bottom. Thanks, Vault. We might have to jettison the idea of vintage jersey and do what you suggest, or change our focus to copies of good quality vintage photos.
I can certainly give you measurements of one from the era. You might be able to source a similar fabric, have a seamstress sew it up, and then find a screen printer to do that part. Its all possible but may be cost prohibitive.

I have the Nike all orange Tebow jersey (which is starting to feel like a lifetime ago). Though Definetly not the mesh/fishnet type of jersey we used to practice in in High school that you are seeking.
