I have a feeling that OKC isn’t going to trade him. Shame to see all that talent not getting to shine.
OKC might trade someone ahead of him on the depth chart and promote Mann. OKC exercised his contract for this season and next, where he'll earn a combined $9MM. He'll be a RFA in 2025...He'll get a shot somewhere.
Yes OKC is already too guard-heavy for him but he's shown many that he can play at an NBA level, so hopefully he does get traded to a team that can use him. He has the skills to be a spark of the bench for somebody
As someone who both likes Mann and follows OKC I don't think they are doing anything wrong with him. They had to shed some quality players in the offseason after some trades and kept Mann so they obviously value him to some degree. That being said, they are a guard heavy team and Tre Mann excels at one thing, scoring, that they have plenty of. He lacks the ability to run the offense, turns over the ball too much, and plays lackluster defense. Eventually he will go to a team that just needs a microwave off the bench and hopefully he will excel.
Just saw the news and was about to post. GREAT NEWS! Congrats to Tre! I hope he finally gets the chance to play and show the world what he's capable of.
He just needs to improve his game. He played 23 minutes a game in his first year and 18 minutes a game in his second year. He didn’t show enough to stay in the rotation. He clearly needs to become a more complete player.
I don't see how minutes played is an indication that he needs to become a more complete player. Minutes played is just a measure of time. I'm not disagreeing with your assessment, it's just that your reasoning doesn't match up with your conclusion. I agree that he needs to get better, but I could say that about any young player and most veterans. Room for improvement or not, he is good enough to play right now and the Thunder's coach wasn't playing him.
Glad to see him find a new home. One of the worst teams in the league so hopefully he’ll be given time and space to grow there
Lamelo Ball and Tre Mann backcourt would break a lot of NBA ankles. Hopefully, Tre manages to get some time on the floor alongside Melo.
Reading Twitter comments, OKC fans are sad about losing Tre. Big change from last year with how they talk about him. I think Tre grew on the fanbase due to being an exceptional teammate, great locker room influence, and hard worker. He was always cheering on the team and in good spirits despite his lack of minutes.
I previously posted his advanced stats from last year, and his were the worst on the entire roster. That’s why he’s not getting playing time this season.
I am not talking about the minutes as a performance measurement. I was saying that he got plenty of playing time to show what he could do, and he didn’t play well.
