Learning disabilities do not disappear with age.

Oh I have never hidden the fact that I was/am ate up with learning disabilities. Posted several times on TH. I read at about 1/5th the speed of most people. I have both dyslexia and dysgraphia, also speak with a slight stammer. On the other hand I can do some things that amaze most people. My Jr year at UF I was called into a professors office because there had been some cheating on a Strength of Materials exam. Because I answered the problems without putting down any work the prof thought I was one of the cheaters. I had to prove to him that I could do the calculations in my head or I would have gone down with the others.

Sorry, honestly didn’t know. I was just making a stupid joke.

No problem, it's something that I have lived with for all my life. I'm surprised you never read it. Over the years I have mentioned it 3 or 4 times.

A search for dyslexia will turn up a couple of past posts.

This perfectly encapsulates white MAGA grievance - the belief that Tracy Chapman should not be entitled to steal Luke Combs' "Fast Car" and the decision to have her sing it with some form of diversity choice. So Ben Shapiro

That's an amusing parody, but I question if it's real. Didn't see it on his page (though I may have missed it or it could have been taken down). I also think he would have phrased it differently if he were going to make the complaint about wokeness there.

Same here. First thought to ask if it was real.

I probably should have asked that. It occurred to me after I posted it. Maybe my own bias about how stupid and grievanceville they are caught up to me

Actually, the consensus seems to be that it's not real. It didn't surprise me that it was a screen grab because lots of times embarrassing tweets are deleted and you only see it in the screen print. But this one may have been too good to be true.

Check that. A lot of people seem to think it's true. I don't know.

The Chapman Combs duet was phenomenal. I don't know a lot about Combs but his voice was killer and I loved the reverence he seemed to pay to Tracy as he sang. It's also always been a hauntingly sad song. I'm a Combs fan now.

Sometimes I find it humorous that threads that I started keep being reborn by someone who has me on ignore. Not sure who authored post #248 but this is like the 3rd or 4th time a thread has been revived with a post I don't see.

Tracy’s Give Me One Reason” is one of my favorite songs.

I’d suggest anyone listen to it that hasn’t heard it.

Why was the Shapiro/Chapman Tweet put into this thread?

Just because it seemed to fit loosely and did not seem to merit a new thread. Apologies

For a second, I thought this thread title was referring to Jonathan Kendrick Lewis.
