The day Scot Brantley got his concussion and went out. I think he’s since died of CTE early onset dementia. Rip

 

I was a sophomore at the time. Scot and I were friends

 

I remember a stoppage of play... Sad... R.I.P., Scot Brantley.

I'm gonna have to say the '06 season. Experiencing all that as a student was something else.

 

Unless I really missed something Brantley is still with us, although perhaps not in great shape

One of our defensive players got dinged up during that game. Someone else said he (Brantley) died. I have no idea...

But I remember a stoppage of play in that game. And I think he got dinged up on a tackle... maybe even a concussion.

 

Yep, it was right down in front of me.....place was silent as a church when he was down. Kind of took the wind out of the game a little

This. 1984. If you weren’t around then, you probably cannot relate. The struggle. The injustice. The dominance. Those players were some of the greatest at their positions ever. We would have crushed BYU. Just let us go to the Holiday Bowl if you don’t want us in the Sugar. Our first national title. The first time “wait til next year” ended. Our first SEC title. Then taken away.

 

1984 and 1996 for all great reasons. The 1984 lines were brutally good and the 1996 team beating half-ass-u 52-20 with Bobby walking back and forth talking to himself. PURE JOY!!
