Hard to say at this point. It was an old plane (1992?). One would assume that keeping the wheels on the plane is a high priority for maintenance crews, but you never know.

Those are very old planes. This is on Delta’s maintenance. Typing this on an Alaska Air Boeing 737 on the Atlanta tarmac…

Crazy young passengers want people to know that they can be just as dangerous as airplane manufacturers ("Hold my beer.").

Cost for 18-year-old passenger to fly from London to a Spanish island during winter: $659.

Cost for passenger joking among friends on-line that he was threatening to blow up the plane, which caused military jets from Spain to be scrambled: $120,000.

Look on passenger's face when he is blacklisted by the airline and can never fly on it again: Priceless.

An airline passenger could face a $120,000 bill after fighter jets were scrambled when he joked about blowing up the plane

I flew a max on Sunday and survived.
    So there’s that.

Alaska should really lean into the situation and provide them. ;)

Alaska Airlines has more problems with their 737's. A flight landing in Portland had the cargo door ajar upon landing. Company officials were proud that the door did not come off completely, calling it a great success story. This was a day after a flight had to return to Portland because passengers were smelling "fumes" in the cabin. Portland passengers are now encouraged to refrain from smoking strange drugs on board the plane, and asked to bring a set of tools in their carry-on to be prepared to complete unfinished maintenance in mid-flight.

Alaska Airlines is going to do a joint commercial with Boeing, declaring their partnership "a marriage made in heaven--or hell, we're not sure."

More concerns as Alaska Airlines flight arrives at PDX gate with open cargo door

There’s also the United Boeing plane that dropped a tire on an employee parking lot at SFO - seems like a maintenance issue.

This reminds me of when there’s a serious shark attack off the Florida coast. For months every shark incident makes news, even though a certain number are normal. Magically the next year none of them do.

Clearly a maintenance issue considering that the plane was 22 years old.

You see a wheel come off at NASCAR races when they forget to tighten the lug nuts. Same here? Maybe the nuts forgot to tighten the lugs.

Boeing's 787 Dreamliner engineers say, "737 engineers, hold my beer". A Latam Airlines 787 had a rapid drop in mid-flight over Australia, injuring 50 and sending a dozen to the hospital. The incident does not appear to be weather-related. Survivors were heard to say, "Crikey, that was like riding a wombat on a Devil Dive off Ayer's Rock. I think I pissed me pants in six languages."

50 people were hurt, including 12 sent to the hospital, after a Boeing 787 dropped sharply in midair

Indonesia's Batik Air says, "Selamat milam, Boeing engineers, hold my Bintang!" Indonesia now has a better estimate of how many pilots should be on the plane to avoid a potentially fatal flight pattern incident. The answer is three, at a minimum. Just in case the first two pilots fall asleep at the same time and the plane drifts off-course for 28 minutes.

Pilots fall asleep during Indonesia's Batik Air flight: Officials

After hearing that the plane was an Airbus A320, Boeing engineers cheered, cried, and hugged each other, thankful for the comic relief of their string of foulups.
