None of this is surprising. Rufo dresses up his activism as opposing “CRT” or “DEI,” but what he and his co-ideologues have always very obviously been against is diversity itself. Or, more precisely: Having nonwhite people in positions of power and influence, in ways that threaten his ideal vision of racial hierarchy — i.e., the one with white people on top. He and his fellow ——bags at places like Aporialike to pretend this is about “merit” or “scientific inquiry,” but as the good folks at If Books Could Kill recently argued, it’s the opposite: It’s a) notoriously bad science and b) all about denying racial and other minorities a place where they’d have a chance to prove their merit; about dialing back the clock to a time when mediocrities like Rufo were assured a glide path to the upper rungs of society based on how easily they suntan alone.

Yep. Rufo bloviates about "merit," but when given power over a public university, he and the rest of the DeSantis ideologues implemented a program intended to provide affirmative action for white "conservative" Christian men.
New College of Florida embraces affirmative action for men

New College of Florida dean performs 'homophobic' comedy, 'rape jokes'

I’m guessing congress wont have hearings about this

Oh that person has every right to do all that stuff. I'm guessing a college dean participating in a drag show might raise some eyebrows with the same people as being highly inappropriate and not setting a good example, etc. The only thing they believe is they should be allowed to do what they want in positions of authority, but not other people.

So much losing..is there a record for number of laws declared illegal?

Florida law restricting Chinese land ownership is blocked by court
TALLAHASSEE — A federal appeals court Thursday said a Florida law restricting people from China from owning property in the state likely is trumped by federal law and blocked its enforcement against two plaintiffs who have been in the midst of real-estate transactions.
A three-judge panel of the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals declined to issue a broader injunction, in part pointing to oral arguments that will be held in the case in April

Rhonda Santos (as he's still known in CNN closed captions) has a couple of good proposals for Constitutional amendments, especially term limits. But it's strange hearing good ideas come from Rhonda. Something isn't right.

Wonder if the Governor will come down on the Tampa Bay Rays for being "woke" for these games. actually, I think they are just trying to make few bucks selling merchandise and tickets "[e]ach of the themed games includes a promotional item as part of a special ticket package". But he may see something more sinister

Rays have diverse schedule of games with cultural/identity themes

We see again the results of Ron DeSantis's racist policies:
Black historians, Holocaust survivors: Miami schools seek parent consent for more events
Two years ago, when historian Marvin Dunn wanted to talk to a Pinecrest classroom about Black history, his visit didn’t require much planning. But when he returned last week to give a lecture on his personal experience with segregation, only Palmetto Middle School students with signed permission slips were able to attend.

The change is a stark example of how a state law signed by Gov. Ron DeSantis in 2022 is impacting at least one school district in Florida — Miami Dade County Public Schools — as local school officials try to comply with broad state regulations that seek to give parents greater control over their children’s education.

Let’s add this to the ever growing pile of nonsense. How would you suggest teaching about the 3/5ths Compromise, the Civil War, or anything not complimentary of white men?
