    Not to mention that what we fought for is under threat by the extreme right - a group which, paradoxically, spends too much time talking about what a great nation we are. To my mind, true patriotism, like faith, is practiced, not shouted from the rooftops.

    I used Covid to show we came out on the good side after testing the antithesis of what this country stands for during it.

    Not sure what you are trying to get at with the draftees and not volunteers? Are you insinuating a draftee deserves less honor? That a draftee was not fighting for freedom?

    You mean similar in that people were ordered to give up their freedom and do something they may not have wanted to do because it was decided that it was in the best interest of the country?
    Yeah, that’s pretty similar.

    Being called on to fight for freedom and being forced to take a drug that should have never been authorized in the first place for anyone under 65 are two different things.

    Not really. But if you think parts of the country forcing kids to take a drug in order to enter a restaurant is the same as being called to fight for the right to not be forced to take an unnecessary drug to live normal life. We will disagree.

    Unfortunately, the Covid thread turned into a vaccine thread. I wasn’t through hammering home the niggling detail that there is no Covid to vaccinate for.
