Tough choice. You have Clayton, Pullin, Samuel I think any of those would be hard to argue against. Heck Condin and Handleton(sp) Richard would not be as good without those players.
Don't think anyone is hands down the choice.
I would go with Pullin,if I had to pick.TO ME PG is the qb of team and he is a all SEC 1st team PG.
Who you got and why. Thanks

It probably is Pullen. We've suffered so long at that position. Now we get one of the top (statistically) players in the whole conference.

Tough choice. Headband, ZP, and Samuel are all legit choices. I’d give it to Headband slightly over ZP.

I do not see this being a tough choice. In my opinion, Pullin is an All-American. He might be the best point guard that I’ve seen at UF, and I have been following the Gators since the 1971–1972 season. I’m not sure we would have a winning record without him, which does give me some concern about next season.

    Best since 71? Holy smokes.

I personally would take Jason Williams on the team right now.

Clayton, to me, is just a hell of a player. Pullen has been really, really good too. But it seems like when you need a big 3 or you need a spark, a lot of times it's coming from Walt.

I'd give the nod to Pullin. As Clayton said, ZP just keeps getting him the ball right when and where he needs to.

As a pair, Pullin and Clayton are almost psychically on the same page right now. Against UK, Pullin was drawing the attention while Clayton maneuvered without the ball and would get the open catch-and-shoot. It was a thing of beauty.

    ZP.

As good as the others are, they owe a lot of that success to ZP. He's our rock, our glue guy that seems to always make the right decision.

I think of it this way: how many games are lost if you remove Samuel? What if you remove Jr? And what if you remove ZP.

I'd guess no ZP would be the most impactful.

Zion the Lion beyond a shadow of a doubt.

If he started from game one we'd probably be in top 10. Still mystified why he didn't start from game 4. Still I think he'll have us in rare form come tourney time. He's starting to take command like a General and lifting everyone. Going to be big shoes to fill next season.

It's MVG ;). Raw numbers are not definitive in this case, as a player will impact certain games to different degrees, but here are the number of times each as been MVG/top performer in the Hallgator Pick 'em contest:

    Pullin..............5
    Samuel...........5
    Clayton Jr........0

It's odd that Clayton hasn't made the cut, but iirc his huge games were just barely surpassed by another in terms of efficiency. This is merely a point of interest. Hard for me to pick one between Pullin/Samuel. You've got floor general and rebounding machine.

    Better than Glover?

Seriously, though… Pullin is the man, but I can’t rate him above Scottie Wilbekin. Then you have White Chocolate and Cheese. He’s definitely in the mix, though.

Pullin is the choice for me. He is solid and has great control of the game. His playing PG allows Clayton to shine at his natural position too. I'm glad Clayton doesn't have to run the offense the whole game.

    My take?

Samuel Pulyton wins it, hands down!

People's eyes get glued to Clayton's shots. But his ball handling, and CERTAINLY his defense, are (let's be generous) not at ZP's level.

I worry what Tyler's gonna do to WCJ today.

If Clayton pours his soul into defending him, we're gonna need someone else to step up on the offense end

I’ll go with ZP with CJr a close second.
Take ZP out and we are a boat without a rudder. Take CJr out and we don’t score as much. Both are very good and getting better.

Yes Pullin is one of the best PG we have had, still without Clayton and Samuel not as good. I do respect your opinion..Been following Gators since 12 years old now 67 and he is the best I can remember over all.

Going over this thread, not sure Taurean Green was mentioned. He has to be at the top of any best Gator PG’s. ZP is playing this well in his first season as a Gator is extraordinary! So happy he came to Gainesville!
