But @Tjgators or @Gator515151 would say even 0.1% would be too many and that to prevent even a minuscule number from entering the country they should all be immediately deported.
As long as they come across legally I have no problem with them. The minute they step across the border illegally I say send them home immediately.
For immigrants from places life Mexico, El Salvador, and Venezuela, the only legal way to come is enter undocumented and request asylum.
If by "selective racism", you are talking about the people who give the 1/6 rioters a pass, but get bent out of shape when "off-white" people attack the police, then no, it's not cool in my book. ... but we already know where MAGA stands on that and I wouldn't have expected anything different.
Would you defend the statement “all blacks are the same by virtue of being black.” Just curious. The statement as written seems incredibly prejudicial. It is just OK to bash cops, but it is not OK to bash black people…Tribalism and identity politics.
What a stupid argument. Anyone who is a cop can stop being a cop, its a job dude! If you want to say all lawyers are vultures, or all politicians are corrupt, go ahead, its not racist.
Racism is a sub-species of prejudice. "All cops are racist" and "all lawyers are vultures" is just as prejudiced as "all blacks are thugs." One is a trendy cool form of prejudice in some leftist tribal camps while the other is not.
Either you are just trying out some material here or you think like a child. Whatever the case you aren’t a serious person.
If true, that sounds like a problem their countrymen brought upon themselves and not the burden of the American citizens.
This is uncalled for. I think most of us are very okay with merit-based and controlled immigration. Why wouldn’t we be for bringing the best and brightest to America?
Racist Republicans attack "migrant" while live on Fox News in NYC. The "migrant" is actually a New Yorker who lives in the Bronx. (Not that attacking an actual migrant is acceptable either.) On live TV, Guardian Angels rough up a man in Times Square then misidentify him as a 'migrant'
BREAKING: It turns out the cops were lying and edited the video they released. The cops actually provoked the confrontation by grabbing and pushing into the wall one of the migrants as he was complying with their orders to leave. New Videos Contradict NYPD Account of Lead-Up to Times Square Attack on Cops
Folks around here seem to want to question any media source they don't agree with by going to the media bias sites. Here is what the boards favorite bias rating site says about The City. About The City 's Bias Rating The City is a news media source with an AllSides Media Bias Rating™ of Lean Left. What a "Lean Left" Rating Means Sources with an AllSides Media Bias Rating of Lean Left display media bias in ways that moderately align with liberal, progressive, or left-wing thought and/or policy agendas. A Lean Left bias is a moderately liberal rating on the political spectrum.
Even conceding that the source has a bias can you provide a credible link indicating that the story is inaccurate? Seems that what they did was to debunk the original story which you apparently accepted as completely accurate on its face.
Well I am not a lawyer, maybe gator_lawyer can fill us in a little on this since he brought it up. But considering a grand jury indicted 7 of them and I believe this indictment includes the guy in the yellow jacket, it seems to me this would not be quite as cut and dried as the article he brought up paints it. One would think if a grand jury looked at all the evidence and indicted him there might be something to it. D.A. Bragg: Seven Indicted In Assault On Police Officers In Times Square Grand jury indicts Johenry Brito in Jan. 27 attack on NYPD officers in Times Square
Keep in mind that an indictment is a determination of probable cause that they may have committed a crime, it's not a finding of guilt. Although it's off-topic for this thread I would point out that multiple grand juries indicted the former president on 91 counts yet you have expressed the opinion multiple times that he is a victim. That being said even if the police may have played a role in provoking the attack that probably still doesn't justify the assault by the migrants. The issue isn't whether or not they're innocent it's whether the portrayal in the original article was completely accurate. Context does matter.
