In the race to post too early to be meaningful polls here is a very good poll from Quinnipiac. It has Biden +6 due to an overwhelming support from women 58-36 which has increased in the last month and a strong lead of 52-40 in independents. Men lean toward Trump 53-42 and it hasn’t moved.

Haley polling better than Trump even with Biden.

2024 Matchups: Biden Opens Up Lead Over Trump In Head-To-Head, Quinnipiac University National Poll Finds; Haley Leads Biden 1 On 1, But Trails When Third Party Candidates Are Added | Quinnipiac University Poll

Given a list of 10 issues and asked which is the most urgent one facing the country today, 24 percent of voters say preserving democracy in the United States, 20 percent say the economy, and 20 percent say immigration.

There are wide gaps by party identification.

Among Republicans, the top issues are immigration (38 percent), the economy (29 percent), and preserving democracy in the United States (12 percent).

Among Democrats, the top issue is preserving democracy in the United States (39 percent) followed by the economy (12 percent), with no other issue reaching double digits.

    Some really weird results.

Head to head Biden beats Trump handily but barely beats him with 3rd parties.

Haley head to head beats Biden but actually does worse against Biden when independents are added with RFK jr getting about 7 more points.

    That is a mind bender.

So independents prefer Haley over Biden, but Biden over Trump.

Some republicans, presumably a subset of MAGA, prefer Trump, and would vote for Haley over Biden, but would vote for RFKjr over Haley or Biden.

    Fascinating.

It's amazing because of the swing states that Biden could win the popular vote by more than 5 percent and still lose the election.

This is the most staggering result to me:

Biden’s support among traditionally Democratic-leaning blocs such as younger voters and voters of color has not grown since the fall: Voters younger than 35 remain about evenly split, 49% back Biden and 46% Trump, while voters of color break 57% Biden to 35% Trump.

state referendums will encourage higher turnout by those that usually vote democrat. it is why so many states are fighting to keep them off the ballot

Those referendums will be the reasons the Dems take control of the House

So unfettered access to killing a developing human is saving democracy?

A subset of MAGA would never vote for a woman.
