This is NOT to start, fire BN! So, BN is excluded. Any get rid of the HC will be deleted!!! Some contracts expire tomorrow. Will Billy make changes to the OL coaching staff? This is not current, but it still serves as a guide for this thread:
If he is not going to renew contracts, I would hope he has already told the coaches so they’ve had a chance to already be looking for another job.
No specific names, but I’ll state the obvious that has been offered many times on this site: - Name an OC who will call plays from the booth - Assign an on-field ST coach - Euthanize this two-headed beast of on-field OL coaches; at the very least, make one the coach and the other an analyst
And to be clear we could still theoretically add Another on field coach (OC) without getting rid of another coach if the rumblings of Stapleton moving to off field role is true. Will we? Hell.if I know, but either way I'm good because our biggest issue was defense and S&C program which have been addressed. A middle of the pack 40-50th ranked defense would have won us 3 more games last year, amd who knows where we would have gone with a top 30 D. I hope to see a much improve Defense this year. Truly, just improving our Secondary whether because they are a year older/experienced, and more comfortable in this system or because of the additional influx of talent and coach that gets through to these kids better , a better secondary amd shoring up our LB group like we did can change everything, it affects game changing aspects of the game like turnovers, sacks, etc. Our DL is stout, but their production heavily depends on the secondary and LB's. Them causing the QB to just hold the ball a split second longer can create a plethora of opportunities for the Dline. I'm excited to see the jump in play a feel the D will make.
Everyone missed this. Too worried about their savior offensive coordinator, I suppose. Glad he is gone. I hope.
