Again, you're off on a completely irrelevant tangent with these "illegalities." Nothing about this case would have prevented Florida from investigating or punishing illegalities. What it's not supposed to be able to do is punish protected speech.

 

So, if those laws are declared unconsitutional then what happens? Does Reedy Creek get restored or is there no special district at all?

 

It depends. If the court struck down both laws, it would go back to how it was. If the court only struck down the second law, it would not reinstate Reedy Creek. It would return the parties to the position they were in before the second law passed.

So, you trust a "crony" relationship that's existed for less than a decade less than you trust a crony relationship that existed for more than 50 years? Have you actually dug into the auditors credentials or are you just assuming "cronyism" because the audit was ordered by the CFTOD?

if they were breaking a law, they should be criminally prosecuted. Since I know that desi and the gang would love to do that and they haven't, one can easily surmise that Disney wasn't doing anything close to illegal. we are all very familiar with how eager desi is to test the courts, and lose in the process, yet not a whiff of prosecution with Disney. Surely even you can read those tea leaves

 

I don't "trust" Disney, but I'm inclined to believe that Disney is looking out for the best interests of Reedy Creek because it is to Disney's benefit. The evidence is the opposite of the DeSants crony board. In fact, they've done multiple things since taking control that appear to not be in the best interest of the district or Disney.

100% right decision.

DeSantis went about it poorly with his "stop woke" tactics but there is no reason for a corporation like Disney to have such dominion and autocracy over the state the way it did.

There was finally someone who stood up to them and that he did.

 

That is pretty standard in the industry. Heck I used to get into silver springs for free when an ex girlfriend worked there on her pass.

 

Please define which dominion they had over the state that many other similar districts don't have. When does the state get the right to withdraw from agreements they made? Maybe the native americans should decide that the deal for Manhatten stunk and they want it back.

 

Was your girlfriend an employee of Silver Springs or the City of Ocala? Is it "standard in the industry" to give free passes to government employees? The people in the video are RCID employees NOT Disney employees.
