Non-conference schedule is a little tougher. Miami on the road, plus the comparison below. I'm glad to "upgrade" from Siena -- RPIs down in the 200's, especially 250+, mean that even a sweep is a loss of ground come tournament selection and seeding. 2023 vs. 2024 (RPI from last year) Series: Charleston Southern (172) vs. St. John's (165) Series: Cincinnati (160) vs. Columbia (133) Series: Siena (271) vs. St. Mary's [the California one] (184) Midweeks: USF (161) and FAU (79) vs. Stetson*2 (129) and UCF (119) (I dropped games held in both years -- e.g.; FSU and Miami -- as they cancel out; ignored home-away. Two vs. FAU last year and one vs. FAU next year = "net" one more last year. One more game this year, too) On another note, home vs. FSU during spring break?!? Come on, man...
We all know no easy series but damn yeah helluva 4 week stretch South Carolina @ Arkansas @ Vandy Tennessee
The Orange & Blue World Series in the fall can be a lot of fun as well as highly competitive…… When I was coaching pitchers at Chipola we had the same format to conclude fall practice. We always had an added incentive for the winners that “served well” to keep the competition at a high level. At the beginning of the “Series” the bet was placed on the table. Winners would sit down at the table to be served their winner’s meal of grilled steak, baked potatoes, and salad by the losers. The losers in turn had to sit down across the table from the winners to their meal of beanie weenies and light bread….. Trust me, it amped up the intensity and motivation for the closing of fall practice.
Great to see the DH added in November against Stetson. That's a good day to enjoy plenty of baseball and have everyone play.
Florida Draws Georgia, South Carolina as Permanent Baseball Opponents - Florida Gators https://floridagators.com/sports/baseball/schedule
That's weird, they announced that a month ago. I wonder if the SEC had to make changes to someone else's permanent rivalries. Go GATORS! ,WESGATORS
Times are now posted. Most midweeks (FSU excepted) scheduled for 6:30 pm rather than 6 pm. A few more Saturday games are in the evening than normal. The last two games of the home regular season are at noon and the last game against Columbia is at 11 am.
