Entertaining! One fan said "Florida can NOT play any better than they have tonight, no damn way.". I recall Cal saying during the first game "they CANT keep it up." Well . . . We just did!
And they are really bad at attacking individual players. I'm glad that's not the norm on here. Shepard was a warrior for them last night, but they destroy him in the comments.
Can't find it anymore, but I read a thread there this morning where a member called for UK fans to boycott going to the SEC Championship tournament because UK is the only school that cares about basketball and winning the SEC. I forget what perceived slight was the impetus for the boycott. Unreal.
Meh... I think we would do that if mods and other posters didn't self-police the forum. I've seen UF fans say some disrespectful things here.

"These young coaches are making a habit of beating our washed up old turd!" That one made me laugh. Funny how SEC programs are the same when their team losses. Lots of piss and moans. The point is, fans are fans, we are no different than other fanbases. All to say is that fans have great passion for their teams.
I remember a number of constructive criticism from supporters that were ready for a change (like myself) and a few over the top regulars one of whom I believe is banned but not quite the degree I just witnessed on that Kentucky board. I'm sure my memory may be off but also their board is more active as basketball is their #1 sport. Would be more appropriate to compare it to swampgas I'd imagine.
Cal won an NC. Mike White could barely get us into the NIT despite having major talent at several positions.
It was but I think most fans (and me) liked Mike White for running a clean program and representing UF well. It was seemingly inconsistent success and no real improvement that the fans tired of. The Oral Roberts game did it for me and I wanted a change. But, I have no ill feelings toward White and wish him well in his future coaching, etc. I think he has a lot of class and it’s so hard to follow a legend.
True but doubt any UF player that scored 24 pts, had 8 rebounds and 6 assists would get blasted on NBN like Sheppard was on the UK boards. Sheppard is not why UK lost last night. The UK fans are unrealistic mostly, they have a very good team this year and play hard. They just got beat by a team that’s getting better and also plays hard and never quits; it happens. I think the NBN fans are more bball savvy than the UK fans from what I read on their during and post game rants.

Speaking as an occasional snoop on their page, many of them have been calling for Sheppard to start for weeks now. So they got what they wanted, he CARRIED their team last night, and now they want to tar and feather him.
Amen. UK is very lucky to have Sheppard - even despite his poor on-ball defense. On your second statement though, I think it's about more than that. Y'all played great and deserved to win, no doubt. But Cal has been lack-luster for YEARS and THIS was supposed to be his "make or break" year. UK has how many future NBA players??? Some say 7 but I think 5 or 6. Either way, we shouldn't be losing to unranked teams at home if we're elite! We're just not elite and that's the problem. Kentucky has one good win all season (UNC)! If a hall-of-fame coach, at home, with a top 10 team stocked with maybe 7 future NBA players loses at home to UNC-Wilmington and Florida, loses to a mediocre A&M team and gets blown out by SC, then something is wrong! I think Cal used to be an elite coach and simply isn't anymore. He's a pretty good coach and UK is a pretty good team - and this isn't a "down" year, it's the norm.
