What a big win for this team. Hopefully something they can build off of and firmly plant themselves in the tournament. I love the players on this team. They should definitely be a higher ranked team but for whatever reason they have struggled. I think one of the problems is a lack of rim protection. None of these big guys are really swatting shots around the rim. Also, Samuel has to stop wasting offensive possessions taking 3’s. Every possession is valuable in these big games and he wasted 2. Haugh also has been waaaayyyy off on his shots lately.
seems like they got the refs they want, so some person was sent to give Jay Bilas an ice cream cone. Any edge they can get.. LOL
I don't normally complain about officiating but thought they got away with some stuff tonight. The fact we weren't even in the bonus going well into OT was telling.....
I was at the UConn game in Miami when Donyell Marshall missed two free throws. I was sitting on the baseline when Peep hit the three over Jarvis Hayes to beat Georgia. I was in the passenger seat in my car when Parson hit the three quarter court shot to beat NC State and my wife almost drove off the road. This one is up there.
Looks like a couple nights of upsets. #3 North Carolina upset by Ga Tech #5 Tennessee upset by South Carolina #10 Kentucky upset by the FLORIDA GATORS!!!
i agree on all points. Given our length… we haven’t had a ton of rim protection. I’ll never understand Samuel shooting from the arc. I like Haugh, but thought he played a few too many tonite.
Yep. Two of my threads, two of aka’s and 4 of doubledaily’s. Heck, there isn’t one post game thread because they keep getting deleted.
interesting and good to see Aberdeen get a few minutes tonight too. 1-2. A 9-man rotation seems about right, especially when we play 45 minutes
I really enjoyed Bilas being forced to mention that Florida was the other team on the court tonight. With 41 seconds left in overtime, he finally mentioned that Kentucky's opponent played a good game. It sounded like the words hurt him.
