Someone sent her something that triggered her so much, she came on a message board and defamed Taylor. Why? The bigger concern is what media is she digesting and what moderator fed her such lies. Why? The problem is she believed it so easily. Then decided to add on things like Jane Fonda 2.0 and use it to attack "libs". No doubt she is a boomer. They seem very susceptible to these type of lies/stories. What else does she "believe" that isn't true?

On top of everything, she EMPOWERS WOMEN! How can another woman attack her so easily? Sad existence.

Well the counter argument would be to ask why someone would be so triggered by a post about a celebrity that they would feel the need to register, or come out of hibernation (based on the number her of posts) just to defend her, especially when there’s already like 10 pages of people bashing the OP.
And for the record, this whole thread is silly, it should have been locked before we got out of page 1. Nothing good has come of it on any level.

But hey, to each their own.

The same reason we paid several thousand dollars to see her show. We love her.

She is just so much more than her music. Again, so giving and charitable. No scandals. No drugs. A great role model for young women. She is a POSITIVE influence on many. She does great things for so many people. The hate of the OP prompted me to defend her. I believe in spreading love, kindness and TRUTH.

Is that so hard to understand?

During the AFC Championship game, they called an administrative timeout. The reason stated was there was an unauthorized drone near the stadium. The real reason was Tay-Tay had to tee tee and didn’t want to miss any of the game. The NFL accommodated her by calling the timeout.

Love her all day, that’s cool, but you seem as triggered as the OP. That was ironic to me.
I actually like TS, think she’s a good person. Her being shown at games doesn't bother me, the conspiracies are silly, and I hope her and TK work out, they seem like a good couple. But the army of people who come out to defend her from every corner of the internet is crazy. Especially when it’s to counter someone throwing out conspiracy theories, those folks aren’t often the ones modifying their views based on new data. It’s wasted energy. But again, to each their own.

How much of a bonus did she give all those people who worked for her on the road? Something like $100k each.

Not sure if you are familiar with the band Fun. or the Bleachers but Jack Antonoff produced Anti-Hero. Start there. There is even a version of him singing with her.

She has a ton of music that cross different genres like country and R&B

I'm not a swifty by any stretch of the imagination, but after watching the Netflix documentary, I didn't realize how talented and how hard she works. Very creative and smart.

Voice your concerns about pit bull attacks and, out of the woodwork, “Chihuahuas bite more people than pit bulls. I’d feel safer with pit bulls around my children than you. I’m just going to go ahead and say it, you’re probably a pedophile!”

Mention that while some songwriters may use the same stale chord progressions in four or five of their songs, but that Taylor Swift takes it to another level - and has somehow become the most popular person in the world - and you get, “Moron! You’re just insanely jealous that she’s a woman who, through hard work has achieved celebrity status and is a billionaire and you just can’t stand it!”

Yes! And to see the gigs she was doing when she first started out.

    Incredible. Anything is possible!

Mom, why don't you merge this with the existing Swift thread. Would help bury some of the more embarrassing posts.

Yeah the people who flame out fastest here are the ones who come from their bubble and are shocked that the rest of the world doesn’t share their world view and can point out why they might be wrong or misinformed. They get angry, over react and then bad mouth this place when they leave, or get asked to leave.

But there is truth to it too. Some of the debates here border on moronic. People will do just about anything to justify a position, no matter how crazy, or how petty they have to get to do so. People here make facts fit their argument much of the time instead of letting facts dictate their view.

and she gave $100 bills to a couple of workers who were inconvenienced because they had to wait for the freight elevator that she was using for her entourage to get up to the suite at the ravens game.

My wife and I recently attended Beautiful: The Carole King Musical. I’m more of a jazz aficionado, but it was an incredible experience.

Oh, I remembered four or five of her hits as a teenager, but I had no earthly idea her profound impact on the history of pop music.

She wrote, co-wrote or sang 118 top hits. She was the most popular recording artist in the U.K. for nearly four decades.

And she is generally considered to be the greatest female songwriter of the Twentieth Century.

I don’t remember cutting to Carole King every ten minutes during football games.
