Personally, I'd like more Taylor. It'd be cool if they had a full time Taylor cam to view on the Ocho.

Including her saying "go away please". It's crazy to blame her if network types try to draw viewers by showing her.

The NFL released numbers today showing that this year's playoffs are the highest viewership ever. Compared to last year, the wild card round was up 9%, the divisional round was up 8% and the conference championship round was up 11%.

Nearly 58 million people watched the 49ers/Lions game and 50 million watched the Chiefs/Bills game which is the highest rated divisional game ever.

The NFL has never been more popular. Thanks TSwift! Not bad for 1 minute and 41 seconds which is the total airtime Taylor has received across all 12 playoff games. 1 minute 41 seconds of roughly 36 hours of football coverage. Oh the humanity!

She will be a featured speaker in Chicago at the convention and it will drive MAGA out of their collective minds.

It's amazing all the people that boycotted the NFL over Kaepernick have strong opinions on Taylor Swift being at NFL games.....

I would love to see her start suing the Stuffing out of every single person who spreads that crap.

They think two women from Georgia gave ol' Rudy trouble. Wait till they see the lawyers Swift can bring. I doubt she will unless things get carried away.

But it isn't like they can "cancel" her like they did Bud Light. I doubt there is a lot of overlap in her fans and the MAGATS. They can only real damage the things they love. Which I find even funnier.

Speaking of idolization and as a point of information this is not the parody from the Lincoln Project that I posted in the humor thread. This video is actually from the Trump campaign.

Thought for sure that was gonna be an Onion piece, but . . .
TBH I don't know why any popular musician/entertainer would publicize their vote, but maybe there's more to that than I know. If I were TS's publicist/academic advisor/etc. I'd advise her to steer clear from any endorsement.

P.S. Thank goodness this thread found its way to partisan talking points. I think we could all find a way to argue politics over pizza topping choices.

She genuinely cares. This was when she waded into Tennessee politics for the first time. And her career and fortune are safe, so not a lot to lose.

Loni Love on Instagram: "Resurfaced footage shows Taylor Swift defiantly telling her team she will speak out against Donald Trump and Republican senator Marsha Blackburn, despite the risks to her safety and career. In a clip from the 2020 Netflix documentary Miss Americana, the megastar can be seen discussing the topic with her mother, father and others on her team, as she explains why she wanted to share her political views. #freedomofspeech"

Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce and a MAGA Meltdown

The conspiracy theories coming out of the Make America Great Again contingent were already legion: that Ms. Swift is a secret agent of the Pentagon; that she is bolstering her fan base in preparation for her endorsement of President Biden’s re-election; or that she and Mr. Kelce are a contrived couple, assembled to boost the N.F.L. or Covid vaccines or Democrats or whatever.

“I wonder who’s going to win the Super Bowl next month,” Vivek Ramaswamy, the conspiratorial presidential candidate, turned Trump surrogate, pondered on social media on Monday. “And I wonder if there’s a major presidential endorsement coming from an artificially culturally propped-up couple this fall.”

The pro-Trump broadcaster Mike Crispi led off on Sunday by claiming that the National Football League is “rigged” in order to spread “Democrat propaganda”: “Calling it now: KC wins, goes to Super Bowl, Swift comes out at the halftime show and ‘endorses’ Joe Biden with Kelce at midfield.”

Then Swift-bashing reached Fox News in mid-January. The host Jesse Watters suggested the superstar was a Defense Department asset engaging in psychological warfare. He tied Ms. Swift’s political voice with her boyfriend’s Pfizer endorsement to the remarkable success of her Eras tour, which bolstered local economies and landed her on the cover of Time. “Have you ever wondered why or how she blew up like this?” Mr. Watters wondered on air. “Well, around four years ago, the Pentagon psychological operations unit floated turning Taylor Swift into an asset during a NATO meeting.”

    1. Yeah, Taytay gonna pitch for the Democrat candy;

    2. Nah...she's not gonna pitch for Joe Biden (again).
