Excellent post and much appreciated to provide so much sorely needed nuance, @gainesvillegreen44 ! He'll win me over when we win games.......that's my bottom line........as we certainly have the talent on the field to do so!
If we sometimes have celebrities and former players on the sideline, I don't see why a paid employee couldn't be as well.
I think it is like being an official booster or a registered lobbyist, you have to be identified in order to keep you - and the rest of the mess - from getting out of hand. Otherwise, chaos abounds. Or it may be that it serves Bama and Company and they don't want anyone else to get into their Country Club.
Do you people not understand the use of green font (joke, sarcasm, silliness, etc) or just need to loosen your panties
As long as he can tell the difference between jersey numbers, and not send two guys with the same number out there, I'm fine with the hire.
Napier makes a change that many people said needed to be done, and yet some people STILL need to complain.
I believe the rule is that Analysts can be on the sidelines but can't wear a headset. Only coaches can wear a headset. It is wild that Gators fans are bitching about this hire. No matter what Napier does to improve the program they complain. I am constantly blocking these fools on X. I think ST will show significant improvement if Napier just spent more time on it in practice. This hire tells me he is going to give ST more time at practice.
It could be an actual position coach. I doubt he'd hire an analyst for that area when we already have an analyst covering it.
That was supposed to happen by August. Sankey won't allow the changes to occur in August for obvious reasons--the season is about to start. But, many changes are supposed to occur in 2025--the one of wbich you are alluding to.
