My favorite pitcher. So dominant in 2017 and still much of the rest of her career. Loved that she won the sec title game in 2019 to close out.
I thought Erickson was one of the best players in the portal. To me, she's sure being underestimated and underappreciated - unless I'm missing something.
Because she committed an atrocity by deciding OU wasn't the place for her. When really she should've been starting over Sanders and Torres at all times.
Update on FV -- I was totally wrong. I figured FV pooled money and then divided it via some formula so every sport got a healthy (at least by that sport's standards) cut. Sorta like UF has to spend university money on all sports or get hit with a discrimination claim. However, it seems that pooled unallocated contributions to FV go mostly to football and the earmarks really do control the flow of money to "lesser" sports. =========================== Hey Johnny, Thanks for email. It is up to the donor. All donations can be directed to the sport of the donor’s choosing. If the donor would like to donate to our general fund then it is allocated to sport with the greatest need and usually that is football. Go Gators! To earmark for a specific sport, you have to use this page: Florida Achievement Support Trust (stripe.com)
This girl is only #2 in the country. TW must be slipping. She has been playing softball since she was three. Wow. Could be another Amanda Lorenz in the making.
Not only is she a great athlete; she must have a good head on her shoulders for she goes to Houston Episcopal which is one of the top private schools in the Houston area. Looks like a fantastic get to me.
This girl is fast as hell. She ran a 2.7 20 yard dash as a 12 year old. Her freshman year she finished 2nd in the 100h and 5th in the 300h during the SPC Texas HS championships. Gators can play with 5 infielders next year. Falby & Townsend can cover the whole outfield.
Well, it seems Florida Victorious has no problem making sure everyone understands the softball event is solely for NIL money for softball. An excerpt from a large email I received from them today: Special note: Funds raised from the 2024 Gators Softball First Pitch on the Diamond event will directly support Gators Softball student-athletes through the Florida Victorious Foundation. The FV Foundation is the 501(c)(3) non-profit arm of Florida Victorious focused on providing life-changing impact for Gator student-athletes and the UF community.
The 5 that signed in November 2023 are elite players, very close in quality to this year's freshman class, IMO. https://floridagators.com/news/2023/11/8/softball-inks-five-on-signing-day.aspx
