You can ignore them if you wish to, but it is difficult to ignore the fact that the correlation between the recruiting rankings and success on Saturdays (and being drafted by the NFL) is high.
Self appointed or not, even Spurrier once said that the recruiting experts generally got it right when identifying the top talent available each year. There are certainly agendas and it does matter that we are filling positions of need. In general, however, teams whose recruiting rankings are better than others perform better on the field.
We have done well with getting guys to the league. If we could just finish the season ranked like our recruiting classes, it would be a nice start. Trouble is, the guys that we have on roster that gave us those rankings are 18-19 years old. They won’t be beating up on 22-24 year old sec guys just yet.
This year’s draft won’t look good. Pearsall could very likely be the only one taken. All the ones that I thought were likely to get drafted stayed …Princely, Montrell, Marshall etc
Scooter - some people don’t know how to use emojis. You make a factual statement or observation, such as we don’t have any first round draft choices in the upcoming draft and some can’t handle the truth. They also can’t share an opinion regarding why they think you’re wrong. They were raised to only speak through emojis.
Lets not also forget to mention, that social media also gave birth to the use of acronym's in lieu of constructing a complete sentence
