Honestly, I don't believe he is plotting against the US, but at the same time I would not be surprised. He is that far gone and really only cares about himself.

no, i think trump has encouraged a zealot component within our society that he is a victim and that he needs defenders like them to help him revenge his wrongs and punish those who seek to silence him. he feeds it and lets it eat what it wants to eat. see Jan 6. his team sets conditions for things to occur, that doesn't mean he orders them to happen or even organizes them, just creates the environment where they could be considered a reasonable, if not predicactable, response.
