I don’t envy the federal government here. You back down and you empower other states to ignore you. You uphold the law of the land and you could accidentally start an armed conflict with your own citizens. What is extra ridiculous is all this could be put to rest of the senate just puts hr2 on Biden’s desk.

Let's be clear, the details on the Senate compromise is a terrible bill that will set immigration law back in a major way and breaks just about every promise Biden made on border policy. HR2 is much, much worse than the Senate compromise. Anybody who is willing to trade our humanity for cynical politics needs to reconsider their approach.

The federal government needs to stand up. Bigoted assholes did this in the 1950s and 1960s with integration and civil rights. They'll eventually back down again, just as they did then.

 

What is ridiculous is that the pub potus candidate is once again encouraging open rebellion against the law solely to further his own interest. The military should enforce federal law just like they had to with segregation
