The guy yelling about being a dictator and punishing his opponents is running a disciplined campaign? Interesting.

There's low bars and then there's Trump. His bar is probably down in some Paleolithic rock sediment deep in the crust.

Trump ran a good campaign in 2016. All downhill since then. At best people may just he numb to his off the wall craziness now.

I'm not a huge fan of MSNBC, but I'll take their word on this since they actually do this sort of thing for a living over random internet hater.

Dems could make fun of him, or run someone who can easily beat him. He'll probably be Mr President again. Good work, Dems.

Cool. Will remember this when you try to dismiss MSNBC news you don't agree with.

At this stage, I assume it's a foregone conclusion he'll win. That's certainly how it gets portrayed in our media right now, but even just off my own reading it seems likely?

Frankly, as a "European", I've enjoyed not feeling as isolated from the US over the past 3 years. The political instability preceding it didn't do anyone in the UK any favours and it feels like it has lingered - most in the UK would rather be more closely allied with the US than mainland Europe, I suspect. I haven't been impressed with JB. That said, DJT was not popular over here either. The fact we had our own daft demi-clone at the helm for a while, notwithstanding. The UK feels tired of political populism which is part of the reason we're likely to elect one of the most dull party leaders ever this coming May.

Whomever the US elects, I'd just want that strong relationship to continue. Speaking candidly, I fear it won't under DT who clearly prioritises looking inward. With the world in such disarray right now, we desperately miss that US leadership. Threatening to torch NATO won't do anything to dispel that worry.

I still, though, cannot rationalise how between our nations, totalling what? 400 million people? ...that the best politicians are the ones at the helms of their parties. It's dire. I'm not an anarchist by any stretch, but modern 'politics' needs to get in the bin.

He’ll likely need at least 70 to 80 million votes to win. If he does, it would be those people that are responsible.

Didn't say they weren't. Just don't want to hear dems complain about it. They have the power to elect a suitable candidate for president as well and are choosing not to

He could win for sure. I mean he only lost by a few thousand votes in key states last time. 8 swing states will determine the election. But the chest thumping about polls 10 months before the election is pretty funny coming from trump supporters who have told us polls are fake news for years.

Interesting that you don’t blame Republicans. You could have a halfway decent candidate in Nikki Haley but pubs won’t do it, so whose fault is that?
