Most conservatives support a parent's right to choose whether or not to take their children to drag shows?

I think so. Yes. Maybe they dont want them in public libraries visited by all, but i certainly think if you want to expose your kid to that foolishness in a private setting then have at it.

It's such a conundrum. About seven years ago I observed a student teacher in a suburban band program. When the band took a pause for the woodwinds to rehearse a section, the brass and percussion players immediately lifted their phones like zombies and vice versa. I'd never seen anything like it. There's more than enough research to suggest that participating in a music ensemble in meaningful ways requires a higher degree of concentration than one could possibly provide when preoccupied by the cell phone. (Somewhat) like other subjects, music requires eyes, ears, and brains. How do you get by in your classes? And I know I've asked before, but do you teach in science?

What is foolish about a drag show? (not rhetorical)

An often sexualized show that allows kids is foolishness. Yet I support a parents right.

”. A person in drag reading a book to children is sexualized how? I have read at toddler story time at my local library and I attended when a drag queen read. Objectively the drag queen was a more entertaining reader. There was nothing sexualized in either of our readings.

I don't want drag queens reading to the kids for the same reasons I don't want strippers and pornstars reading to kids. I'm sure a stripper is perfectly capable of reading to children without "sexualizing" it, but if the local strip club wanted to send their finest broads to read to the kids at the local school one morning, you know their would be mass outrage from parents (and rightfully so).

Leave our children out of your petty political bullshit, which just happens to be efforting to teach children about "gender roles."

Ok, but when I asked you what was foolish about a drag show, you responded that "An often sexualized show that allows kids is foolishness." Is the reading session w drag queen foolishness? The other common form of drag show would be in an adult club. What is foolish about that?

Brazenly unconstitutional, like so much of the other dog shit they've enacted over the past few years.

I've heard that band students are usually good math students. Have you observed that. I had two sons participate in the Kanapaha MS and Bucholz HS
band programs and bother were excellent math students. Both were also in the Gator drum line and well ...... became excellent partiers.

How is it different than cheerleaders doing mid air splits in mini skirts? Aside from being way less sexual in nature.

I have clarified my statement. I think parents have the right to take a kid to a drag show. Even ones not limited to reading at a library. Even one that I may feel are foolish to do so.

I was responding to a specific post and acknowledging that I support parental rights even if I disagree with the choice.

But personally, I find dressing up like a woman and that being sich an important part of your life to be foolishness. But heck, many people think watching as much hockey and basketball as I do to be foolishness too.

I do think a public library is not the place, but even then if allowed the parent has every right. I will just keep my child home that day.

I mean i think one is sexualized while one can certainly be sexual... If that makes sense.

Im not a fan of the NFL borderline stripper cheerleaders dancing for kids either lol.

Viber has a What's App feel. Mostly messaging I believe. My girls are older. 19 and 17 so they have been snap, insta, tiktok gen lol. My son talks to his buds over his gaming headphones and doesnt care as much about social, though he is younger.

Female gator cheerleaders and color guard are 100% more “sexualized” than a man dressed as a woman reading to children.
