lost it in the first rotation, like i said, replaced a 9.1 with only a 9.6. this is a young team still feeling their way, meet to meet improvement.

I was expecting more from the FR class and Wong just isn't as electric. I guess I can see why DiCello decided to skip this year.

Screw job, but Leanne and Morgan could have overcome, Leanne on beam and floor and Morgan on floor.

I feel sorry for Anya Pilgrim on her floor routine. The look on her face was that of shock with her 9.825. If she left a required element out, the announcers didn't say so. They also didn't speak up and say the score is too low.

I'd adjust the vault rotation. No way would I put Ellie Lazzari back on vault. She is lucky to not have injured herself. I thought she was going to hit the beam as she went practically straight up and down. I'd have her concentrate on bars and beam plus floor if she can do it.

I agree with the person who gave a shout out to Sloane Blakely. She did very well, a major improvement. Let's hope she has found her genie in the bottle moving forward.

Any idea why Jenny doesn't put her best gymnasts in the anchor position? It has never made sense to me, especially with how college gymnastics judges always tend to elevate scores as they go.

Wonder if our floor routines are just missing some difficulty in the non-pass movements? The floor scores seem low multiple times now, and Payton scored a 9.775 with nothing that blatantly wrong in just the 1st meet and we hadn't seen her since. She was consistently near or above 9.9 most of last year.

Just doesn't make sense to my untrained eye.

Even with that, we lost as soon as we had to eat a 9.6 on vault, even with some other sub-par performances.

    Side note,
Sloane absolutely killed it tonight. Job well done!

We did not have a great vault rotation, but the meet was not lost there. It was actually lost by Leanne's bobble on the floor, and Hurd stepping out of bounds
And, Anya getting hosed on the floor contributed also. We would have won the meet if not for those things. Bru got hosed on the floor, too.

Were scores changed in bama's favor? Someone mentioned that on another board..after 2 rotations we were ahead..then a commercial break and then they come back and we were tied??

We lost the meet on the vault, but I thought our first 3 girls on the floor exercise got ridiculously undeserved low numbers that cost us the match. Wong had uncharacteristic slips on the beam and floor that hurt, too. It seems, though, that without DiCello we're not going to be up to our usual Top 5 standards unless our more experienced girls step it up more - and soon. Very young team, but it looks like we're a step lower than we're used to. But still an elite program that I love to watch. Gooo Gators.

Yeah that was like a .025 difference in scoring that got adjusted for some reason.

Can a coach ask for a review?
