I don’t know if it’s possible, but if I could find out who has given me the most ‘come on man’s, I’d bet $100 that Fred tops the list. In fact, I think that’s the only way Fred has ever responded to any of my posts. yeah I know, incoming……
Oh yes, once you see that rating you typically know immediately. That would be an interesting stat to start. Who has rated your posts with the rating _ amount of times.
So a walk on doesn’t get coaching interaction? They can’t use the team training facilities? Interesting.
Sorry PD nothing on or off field that I’ve seen “scares” me about playing the team currently coached by BN. Is the stout Defense they should be worried about? The special teams play? The creative surprising play calling? The keen clock/in game management ? The level of preparation? While some of it may be scary it’s not scary to line up against at this point.
30k? Not near 200k. A collective could easily buy up nice apartments and have them for their NIL players etc etc. I’m sure some forward thinking people are already doing this. Hell they could build a massive facility for all the “student” athletes, like an olympic park of sorts.
They do not recieve the same benefits just for being part of the team. There are many, many things they have to take care of on their own and/or pay for that scholarship athletes don’t have to worry about.
So do it. Set it up and fund it. I don’t think you’ll get the results you think you will. More than 30k just for tuition, books, food, and housing. Especially if you’re trying to offer something similar to what scholarship players recieve. For an out of state player, you’re close to that just for tuition. Who do you think you’ll lure here with these half measures? The same types of guys that already fill out the bottom of the 105? The bottom of the 85 doesn’t see the field as it is. You want to fund 20 more players that will likely never see any meaningful pt? What are you hoping to gain? Would this money not be much better spent trying to fill the travel roster with higher end talent?
No. They generally don’t go to away games, because they’re not on travel rosters. If they’re on the travel roster, game day meals and transportation are taken care of for them.
The deep pockets elsewhere will be doing it man. TAAM paid like 30 million for one class. Tell me you don’t seem Bama or Texas boosters piling in to build mega plexes for athletes. It’s a golden idea. It will happen somewhere.
If someone does it, others will follow suit. I just don’t see it yeilding worthwhile results. The top players will go where they get NIL and scholarships. These spots will be filled with the same type of players that fill the spots already. Lower rated players that are unlikely to see the field. Sure you’ll hit on one every now and then, we already do, but by and large it will be a waste of resources that would be better spent filling up the 85 with higher end players. It makes some sense for specialists, but you see even those guys will opt for the scholarship when given the opportunity. My guess is the NIL offer the punter turned down was somewhere in your tuition only range you seem to think will get it done. Could have been more or less, but we know he chose the scholarship over just NIL. He told us so himself.
Stockpile what kind of players? Who do you think you’ll lure here with these half measures? We’re having enough trouble filling out the 85 with top talent. You want to waste more resources on this?
Those schools you mentioned dont need the 86-106 players to develop They are stocked with top talent in first 85
They could probably financially and at first I thought they would. Seeing it fold out though, it seems like it would be better to get the fully trained players to fill the gaps. Recruit and train your 85 and supplement with a few that are ready to go. No need to bog your staff down with all the extra players. The staffs already have their hands full training the new players every year.
