As a resident Hurricanes fan I have some questions about the tailgating for the Miami @ Florida game to open the season. We are going to be getting our tickets through UM with our season tickets but with tailgating do we need to pay for a parking pass? If so where should we get one and how much normally. I know we don't know the game time yet but I was reading how it's really early to set up for certain spots? First come first serve but is there pay? It's going to be a good size amount of people we got a lot of UM(my family and friends) and UF fans(wife is a UF alumni and her friends). I know it's way in advance but I am a bit of a planner. Thanks!
The majority of parking "passes" are seasonal for season ticket holders. Most areas are first come first serve and the bigger the group the earlier to get there. Your best bet may be further from the stadium but still walkable like the Shands garages
Typically not. Official parking is all payed. Unofficial parking is all payed whether to the right person or not.
You can buy passes on the secondary market, but they are pricey. One currently for sale at $853! Check out these tickets I found on Vivid Seats: Florida Gators Football Parking passes - Ben Hill Griffin Stadium Parking - 08/31/2024 | Vivid Seats
That's what my wife and I used to do. We lived off campus and we would lock up two bikes near the stadium the night before. Grab them after the game to beat the foot traffic and get to Shands and our car before the traffic kicks up. It was perfect. The lot by the old archer field was good sometimes. Think that's gated now?
Thank you guys for the information. Looking forward to the game haven't been to the Swamp before just to the campus when my friends went there to party back in our college days.
