Yeah, in 2004. Clark seems ok btw, but to have one of the most popular female basketball players ever risk serious injury will set off alarm bells everywhere.
I couldn’t tell from the video. Did the student purposely run into her? If so, wouldn’t that be a felony? Still might be if unintentional—which would be well-deserved. And it doesn’t matter if it’s Clark, or a walk-on.
Looks like the idiot storming the court had had his/her phone out and wasn't watching where they were going. Hopefully they are found and punished.
When clout chasing goes wrong. Clark is one of the most entertaining hoopers in the nation, hope she's alright.
Ohio State fans are right up there with the worst. I think Michigan gives them an inferiority complex.
Storming the court is stupid but this was mostly Caitlin Clark’s fault. She initiated the contact and flopped. I hope the fan is okay (and has learned not to storm the court).
Except when it happens against us (miss those days), I tend to enjoy court stormings. It's fun to see that kind of emotional outpouring from a student section. I do understand it can be dangerous, and I understand why folks want to curb the behavior. Just saying that it's fun to watch. In terms of this incident, I initially thought it was just two people that were fairly oblivious of each other. In looking at the slow motion, it does seem like Clark had malicious intent there. Mixed feelings on this one, players shouldn't have to deal with that, but it's appropriate to let Clark know that her reaction wasn't reasonable either...but that's it. I don't think any penalties should be levied against Clark. Anybody remember Brandon Powell punching a fan up in Nashville after he was shoved? Go GATORS! ,WESGATORS
So easy to stop the court storming by fines that would really impact a program either through money or banning them from post season play but they don't want to stop the court storming because tv likes it. At some point we will see a player get injured and sue the university.
I thought it looked like a flop in the first post. These two confirm she intentionally went for contact. She was probably mad at losing and having fans rush rhe court.
