I engage very little on here anymore, battling ignorance could be a full time job.

 

I reject the notion that there is anything beyond civility. Where are you going with your progression? What are you missing that you’ll finally possess once you’ve exterminated the opposition and obtained the perfect state with only like minded individuals or even just yourself?

For me, our species starts and ends with sociality, and each of these other creatures with whom we are social, regardless of their talents, is equal in value. Even if we were all idiots compared to you, it wouldn’t mean we are any less deserving of kindness or respect.

 

Based on your choice of terms it’s hard for me to determine whether your the lizard scratching fellow lizards for hissing or the guy in the concentration camp gently chiding fellow prisoners for not being more congenial with his captors.

 

Once someone says that all people have value, he can be safely categorized as either a scratching lizard or Nazi defender.

How do you reconcile your assertion with the fact that many, if not most, “righties” “got the shot”?

 

I don’t see how lefties reconcile taking Trump’s vaccine.

 

Just like a broken clock which displays the correct time twice a day even Trump occasionally behaves rationally and does the right thing. Interestingly and perhaps not all that surprising when Trump urged his supporters to take the vax he was booed an extremely rare occurrence at a MAGA rally. It was the first and last time that he had done so. Giving credit where credit is due Trump did play a role in developing the vax although for a government deserves credit for developing the vaccine it's the German government not the US government.
