They almost beat Georgia the year before by missing a fg. They’ve lost to the eventual national champion barely the last three years. They won’t be back, they’ve never been down.
Except it is, because he is trying to get money for his name, image, and likeness. Just because you don’t want to buy one doesn’t mean it’s not NIL.
We would be more guilty if we paid him the NIL and he attended UF. Fortunately we let out of his letter of intent. Also fortunate that Collective was not aligned with University, the Collective was disbanded and those working in that Collective are not affiliated with the new program
Seems to me this situation just from the few facts Im aware of, gives off air of being a "cluster", that those with oversight authority were well aware of. It also appears steps were taken to get it immdeiately corrected. If hands were clean, I dont understand why it wasn't just self reported? Lots of things about NIL, still come off as being non-definitive and pleading ignorance as well as immediately taking steps to get it corrected would have gone a long way to illustarte good will on the University....
Yep, you have to wonder what the NCAA's angle is here. There is NOTHING to see, yet these feckless people in the NCAA want to punish us? I think I read their "angle" was collusion? LMFAO! Please...
There may be nothing to see. But like an IRS auditor, once they start digging they may uncover other things (even if it’s small infractions). It’s a sleazy thing that could provide for some negative headlines (as it already has).
this is so not true. It was their OL that got dominated. If you meant to say that they missed a transcendental qb who can mask a bad OL, then that is true for so many other teams…
Collin's (or anyone for that matter) Name, Image, Likeness does not equal UF's Name, Image, and Likeness. What he is selling is something he doesn't own (perhaps licensed to him, however) because he knows no one would purchase an item without the association with the entity he plays for.
Jordan did better than the logo he represents. They are by far top of the food chain because of him. Nike is fortunate he didn’t sign with adidas
