The amount of bust on this list is ASTOUNDING!!!! like half a dozen total - including those that went to other teams- that were huge hits. Pretty unreal.
Which is also why NIL for highschool kids is a total farce. They command no value with exception from desperate boosters who Have more money than they know what to do with and a passion for football.
Portal is the clear way to have an immediate impact. You pay NIL for the portal transfer that can come in and start immediately. An immediate upgrade. By the time the HS kid is ready, they will transfer out for more NIL elsewhere.
I would say there’s more than that, just short on any high end talent. Princely, Dex, X, AP, AR, Wingo, Creshaw, Braun, Torrence and Fraziers all had moments here. They may not all be starter quality players but they contributed …and don’t exactly suck either. But I guess I know what you mean. Is there any really fond memories coming from the class? …maybe AR & Prince, I suppose.
Immediate is the operative word. Not a lot of high end. Some that became players. And a ton of busts.
