He is more physical than Handlogten. Maybe he would at least mix it up and put a body on anybody coming inside. Maybe try him and Alex at the same time, Shimmy at center and Alex at power forward, maybe even play Haugh at his natural position SF. FYI Ps. Glad he’s back, I wince every time Handlogten Fall or trips.
I think Rishwain deserves minutes also, he is decent size and has good instincts. CTG needs to try different personnel when our other sf can’t buy a shot and lazy turnovers. We have a pretty darn good roster, hope he can get better with it.
German true soph. Listed at 6'10" and 250. He's got enough strength to bash and iirc he can shoot the three. Will be a welcome addition, esp. since we lost Jarvis.
And on a serious note, if he rebounds well, holds up against the stouter opponents, and can spread 5 fouls over the entire game, he WILL be an asset.
He was playing better this year than last, but he broke the bone in his foot. It is going to be few minutes through the end of January but hopefully he can show out a little in February. He can shoot if he gets open out front of the three point line. FT shooting will be better than Handlogten and Samuels.
Well, what else was there for him to practice on? It seems to me, can he make a move under the basket to get a foul call and then can he hit free throws during game conditions? I guess we shall see...hopefully.
Can potentially help when we need a bigger body. Haugh hasn’t exactly done much of anything in SEC play so far at the PF spot.
