Dont know about the others on the list but VanPran declared for the draft..i exoect Seargent Slaughter to continue to.improve which bodes well for the O Line.
freedom, Thanks for this. Jake, to me by far, was our best OL last year but gets no respect. He’ll play on Sundays for a long time if he continues his improvement. Important To remember last year was his first year starting
Never gonna say anything bad about Leonard, he's a great Gator. As a an OG, he's maxed out. The biggest reason both starting OGs transfered is because UF was indifferent about it. Would have liked to have them back, but it was OK if they didn't come back. They were both told they would have to compete for PT. UF is very high on 2024 Sophmores- Harris, Williams and Kearney heading into S&C and spring. They're also looking for Lovett to make a jump in his 2nd season and want to see what George and Waites look like at OG this offseason. So, there was a chance Leonard and Mazzcua wouldn't have even been on the 2-deep at OG after spring... Thus, the transfers.
Normally I'd agree, but I'm OK with it. It was straight business, homie. It wasn't like UF was clamoring for him to stay; UF was indifferent. So, he picked his best spot.
He had a video on X where he was training at center. Can't wait to see him in action. He was an important steal from the SOW.
