Unfortunately, Cal is Top 1 in public universities so if he’s a student athlete…

Yeah, they said he was blown away by his visit there....certainly can't blame him. But as a Florida kid having attended UF games I'm betting the athletic side is going to be a much less exciting experience.

They also have an actual special teams coordinator.

Which he will most likely do. Cal-Berkeley? No football powerhouse, but a bastion of extremism in political thought. He's from the panhandle. He will enjoy California for a year and haul butt back to Florida, imo.

He loved his punters so much that he even put them in on 3rd down occasionally. :D

Yep. He will definitely be a fish out of water at Cal-Berkeley. Unless he is a fish out of water in Leon County.

This kid is on scholarship to Cal. Good move for him.

When our punter leaves, this kid will come home and get his scholarship.

    Book it

I like Meyer’s requirement that you couldn’t be a starter unless you played on special teams.

Helps with getting picked in the pros, too.

Yep. I can't fault him at all. They offered him a scholly, we didn't.

But he will be back and starting at UF with the Aussie gone.

He got offered a scholly afterwards. Probably needed the money.

    Go soak your head.

I hope for next year that UF and Cal correctly evaluated that he has more value to Cal than UF punting.
