I worry about our DB coaches social media game. Appears like he is playing chess, perhaps the long game, but no commits after visits and meeting him.
6 guys. Outside of 1 (Williams) they have almost no production and or playing time at the college level/division 1 level. 1). Williams was running back #2/3 at Bama and did well 2) OL Ferguson- started 1 game in 3 seasons and played in 11 more (mostly special teams and blowouts). Two seasons ago he was behind now Gator Dameon George on the Bama depth chart. That should tell you all you need to know about him. 3) WR Malik Benson- 13 catches in 12 games at Bama as a JC transfer. With a weak WR group by Bama standards he barely played. 4) LB Murphy, 5 tackles in 4 games (the cupcakes) over two seasons. 5) DB Little. 1 tackle in 1 game redshirted I only know of these 5 Bama transfers to FSU so I guess I am missing someone? I did think that Marvin Jones jr was a Bama transfer but he was Georgia. I’ll include him too… 6 DL Jones Jr - 16 total tackles over two seasons including 1 sack. I don’t think any of these guys - outside of the RB - will be potential all Americans next year. They may get more playing time by default. Some are young and still plenty of time to develop and become great players. But..,Bama will put the best players in the field regardless of age. (See Caleb Downs and the true freshman starting at LT). If in 2-3 seasons at Bama you are not contributing big time…usually not a good sign.
My analysis of his tweets… DB speaks to Harris on phone and shows interest- Harris tweets a single emoji DB then visits campus and Harris thinks or is told (and believes) he has a silent commit and tweets several emojis DB goes on another visit and stops communicating with Florida and likely will announce for another school. Harris tweets emoji of a bag of money indicating player took the cash
lol i said to myself….”you know…what if he was literally playing chess at home or literally just went to the bank?”
This sucks! Alabama star DB Caleb Downs expected to enter transfer portal with Georgia favored as potential landing spot
