That's a great point and it's an interesting dynamic. Trump is able to articulate their concerns even among all the candidates on both sides, he genuinely cares about their well being the least. The other Rep Except he wouldn't drink the kool aid himself and he'd have one of his lackeys go around to collect all the cash out of their wallets and purses afterward.

Serious question. I read that Trump was expecting a landslide in Iowa of like >75%. A 50% win is certainly YUGE, using Trump’s word, but it was not the smash that he predicted. For a State that seems spellbound devoted to Trump, is the Trump win what was expected? Haley closed strong, even though she spent the least amount of money and time in Iowa of the three. She seems to be gaining momentum. DeSantis blew his load in Iowa, pouring what seemed to be limitless money and resources and time. He eked out a second place win, far behind Trump and barely ahead of Haley. I think the race is FAR from over and I think Haley can still pickup momentum as the primaries move to more diverse areas of the country.
Cannot answer that question since I haven't watched the View in several years and I can count the total number of episodes of the show that I have watched, none of which I have watched in their entirety, using my fingers on one hand with some fingers left over.
If nothing else the results of Iowa caucuses illustrate the way White Evangelical Christianity has devolved from a religious movement to a cult centered around the worship of a charismatic con artist with an orange complexion. The evidence is that last night Trump carried conservative rural counties with a large percentage self-identified Evangelicals by huge margins, the same counties in which he barely received 10% of the vote in 2016. Those same Evangelical voters rejected Mike Pence a sincere Evangelical Christian and former vice president apparently for displeasing the Orange God when he fulfilled his Constitutional duty on January 6, 2021 to the point in which he ended up dropping out weeks ago because he was polling so low.
I think because DeSantis put so many of his eggs into the Iowa caucus basket. Will be interesting to see how he does in N.H. next week.

She's counting on an upset or a much closer contest than expected in New Hampshire, where DeSantis is not competitive at all, to catapult her campaign. The issue is the next state is South Carolina, where she will inevitably be crushed worse than she was in Iowa. It being her home state and all, will be ultra embarrassing and the show will be over. I think she's running just to keep her name out there for future elections/cabinet posts. You could even make a case for DeSantis staying in after South Carolina (which he will do okay in: 15 to 20 percent), because after SC, Haley is gonzo and then it becomes a true 2-man race from there onward.
