Hi Ros - Oh I HAVE BEEN imagining............ (it's been "running away with me") since the 2009 SEC championship...........lol (or should I post crying out loud)? btw shout out to you brother, I really enjoy your posts and content. Keep it up!! It's been a tough cycle for us Gator fans, kinda death from a thousand cuts and a slow whirlpool ride to the bottom of the drain. 14 years of a downward slide (if one is concerned with BCS or Playoff Contention). Chump had one good year and Mac Peanut Butter, while able to get us a couple of SEC East titles, set SEC Championship game records of blowout futility against Bama. Like everybody else, I'm still pissed at Mullen. Damn, he started 10-3 and 11-2, he could easily have parlayed that into something real had he been motivated to recruit and build this thing up. I will forever be confused as to why he seemingly went into a recruiting shell, retained 3rd and Grantham and basicly "rolled over". Anyway, I hope it gets better, I'm hitting 65 in the spring and would really like to see UF turn the corner on a better era in the time I have left. Thats it! GO GATORS!!!
we lost six and two were Auburn, and one was Miami. You’re splitting hairs if you think Auburn is doing much better than us
I think Cash definitely had to do with those kids. Flipping to Texas is one thing but average teams is completely completely different.
His year one record was better than Napier's year two record is what I meant...sorry if I butchered the wording.
Agreed, but they're still in the hope and dreams phase and plausible "well the last coach left us in a mess" deniability stage than we are.
Checks still cash. Auburn isn’t on the verge of taking over the conference. Stone prob didn’t get more cash. Auburn and Miami have to pay.
i disagree. Like I said, had we stuck the landing and made a bowl game, they don’t flip. i’m not saying that money didnt play a part, i believe our own undoing sure made it easy for them to look around Losing 5 games in a row to close the season ain’t a recipe to keeping a class together.
It plays a part for sure but the sideways moves wreek of cash. It’s not like those kids didn’t have offers from top winning programs.
I truly hate to hear that. He was so young with a great life and a beautiful family, what a terrible thing. RIP, Great Gator.
