The transfer QB from Colorado State made his decision after visiting this weekend. The addition of Millen brings UF to 3 QBs on ship. Millen has 3 years left to.play.
That’s awesome and honestly, I know the kid from the Ivy League is not on scholarship, but I count him as a portal addition. This is a really really good pick up very happy for this
How did we get this kid? He's from Washington state. And, he followed the first coach to recruit him from Nevada to Colorado State. And, now after a season of starting at CSU he comes to Florida. He appears to be more Mertz than Lagway, highly accurate but pro-style not a dual threat. Here's a story I picked up on him: From Snoqualmie, Wash., the rising redshirt junior Millen originally signed with Nevada in the recruiting class of 2021 as a consensus three-star prospect. He transferred to Colorado State before the 2022 campaign, following head coach Jay Norvell. He emerged as the Rams' starting quarterback that year, and while Colorado State endured a fifth-consecutive losing season in Millen and Norvell's debut, the signal-caller produced an FBS freshman record (per CSU) 72.2% completion percentage over his 234 passing attempts.
They claim he started all of 2022 and started the first game of 2023 before losing his job and didn’t play another down all year. Doesn’t sound too promising to me.
I know, saw it on another website. He had a good 2022. Not sure why he lost his job. Was hoping we picked up a guy that could keep us competitive as a team if an emergency were to happen but not sure after what I read.
For sure, really could not do any better and we got the kid from Yale, Warner. To get two quality kids, especially at your 3rd and 4th team positions is surprising and awesome.
Yes, let’s hope. He should at least give us another practice arm so we don’t burn out another arm like the Miller situation.
This is a fabulous pick up for the number 3 spot. Very athletic bloodlines and has started D-1 games. Don’t often find that with your third quarterback,
I actually was worried about finding somebody that would provide experience as a backup so Lagway doesn’t get thrown to the wolves if Mertz goes down. This dude sounds like the perfect solution.
PWO: Parker Leise - Football - Florida Gators I have a feeling this kid is a decent 3-star backup when given the opportunity. He redshirted in 2023. During the CWS, his family's restaurant, The Drover, was spotlighted on floridagators.com, likely in return for granting reservations: Carter's Corner: A Gators Quarterback, a Landmark Omaha Steakhouse and the College World Series - Florida Gators Apparently, it is very difficult to get reservations to the restaurant.
