How the hell would Trump have stopped the Hamas attack? What does the U.S. Pres even have to do with that? It was mostly his pal Bibi’s error. Although I doubt even that mattered, unless a different Israeli govt changed course on Hamas in Gaza or was more alert to successfully thwart the attack. As it stands Bibi’s govt erred both in the way they propped up Hamas and in their security response. Their immediate response was so poor it almost struck as a false flag.

Are we sure they were rioters and not just lost tourists?

“Supposedly” because that’s the only account I could find about what was actually thrown over the fence.

Do you have some evidence or a video actuality showing violence? From the different videos I checked out, I see some smoke flares in the crowd. I see people rattling a fence. Some of the chants probably delve into antisemitism. I don’t see video of any violence or officers being struck.

I’m guessing my request for evidence will be met with crickets.

So flames, taunting, and fence rattling are “peaceful protesting” to you. I get it, and am not surprised at all.

As far as evidence, I won’t waste my time. The Secret Service felt that protective measures needed to be taken. That’s good enough for me and I won’t contort myself to deny what they felt was a threat.

You only see things through your own lens and that’s the one you cede reality to.

Not wasting your time with evidence? How typical.

Flames? People bring those types of smoke flares to sporting events in Europe for crying out loud. I see them in the crowd, if any were tossed over the fence that could probably be called a crime. But just having them doesn’t constitute “violent protest”.

But yes, based on what I see I consider that protest “mostly peaceful” just as described. Standing at a fence, but not attempting to breech the fence is pretty key. No? That doesn’t mean it was legal per se. D.C has some strict regulations for organized protest. I’m guessing this was not an “approved” protest, and secret service protocol was to react to the fact the protest was happening in that location at all. Not that it was particularly violent.

Never got close to Biden, as he was not there! On another vacation weekend up at Camp David.

Well I guess getting a denier like yourself to move from “peaceful” to “mostly peaceful” is the best we can hope for.

If a flaming torch is thrown over a White House security fence that could “probably be called a crime”. That’s rich.

At least we’ve found something that hold in higher esteem than Biden or his safety.

The more likely scenario is they stay home. If they are turning from Biden they know where Trump stands so they aren't going to vote for him either.

Show me a smoke flare getting thrown over the fence. Maybe it happened, but I watched about 10 minutes of different videos and didn’t see it. Not that it would make the 1/6 comparison any less asinine even if someone actually did that. I prefer to form opinions based on facts. As you state you “won’t waste your time with evidence” that tells me you just let others drive the narrative for you. A willing sheep.

It’s pretty rich you want to compare this thing to 1/6, and call ME a “denier”. Like… how many tourists were spraying police with bear spray and smashing windows on their way to breeching the congressional building? Hundreds of crazed MAGA supporters. Yet you want to call them political prisoners and declare a violent cultist like Babbit a victim? Get real.
