Ok, I didn’t know you took that stance on Hillary, I applaud you on it! I’m new to this board. I’ve discussed the overthrowing the government charge on other threads till I’m blue in the face. Come on Channing! You think Trump tried to overthrow the government and/ or should be charged with insurrection, a piece of legislation from the 1800’s that doesn’t mention the President as someone who can be charged with insurrection. And by the way, Trump gets 10 million more votes than he got the first time but somehow Biden got something like 12 million more votes than OBama, one of the most respected presidents ever, got. Trump was having record turnout at his rally’s while Biden hid in his basement, remember that? With all of the fraud and ballot harvesting going on Trump had the right to believe the election was stolen as did the nearly 50% of the country who voted for him.
Now, do I think that Trump took his protest, you’ll think this is funny I hope, his”peaceful protest”as you libs like to refer to it, too far? Yes, while I don’t think Trump tried to overthrow the government (come on man!), I do think he used poor judgement in speaking to the assembled crowd of protestors and adding fire to their bellies. Was he correct in contacting the Governor of Georgia? Probably not smart but he had every right to do so as President of US and Georgia Governor exercised his right to refuse Trumps every request. Nothing done that should put the man in prison.

 

Simple question. If Trump committed a felony and is convicted should he go to prison?
