Sheesh, bad second half, terrible 4th. Not the way to close out a game, and not gonna win many playing like that down the stretch. None the less, a win is a win, shake it off, and close the rest of them out.
So LSU loses to Auburn. Vandy loses at home to now 1-3 Mizzou. Our next opponent (Miss State) is losing at home to the team we play on the road after that. Bama loses at home to Arkansas, who we play after that.
This Gator team has some real talent, but much like our men's team, they've got to play together more consistently. And we badly need Kyle back for size in the frontcourt. Reynolds need to be more of a regular contributor and they've got to take better care of the ball, especially in the 4th quarter. They have the potential to win a lot of conference games, IMO.
This was as good as they have looked since the Michigan game. I am not sure playing smaller isn't better for us in the long run. I don't mind going smaller if it brings speed and defense. I am hoping Kyle comes back soon, but want to see less of her and Dut at the same time. They need to rotate at the 5. Our guards/small forwards are the strength of the team. A few players have to learn they are too important and watch the foul trouble. Rimdal needs to be confident in her shot when open. Laila is going to break out. The pieces are definitely there.
looks like Kyle is out till next year from a post she has put up. So next year we can look for having a deeper more skille front line. Grasping to find some good in that news
I assumed she was done this year. We can still be successful, just with a different identity. I'd imagine we are about to start playing faster and pressing a lot. Kelly's teams, IMO, thrive much better playing that style of ball.
