Tennessee has played a dichotomy of great and crappy teams. The top end of their schedule has been ridiculous, with #1 Purdue, #2 Kansas, #17 North Carolina, and #20 Illinois. They won only against Ill. If Kugel is on his game and the rest of the squad plays well, we can hang with TN. They along with MS st will be our biggest physical tests. I'm not worried about Pullin, Clayton, or Kugel getting out-physical'd. In the post, though, our guys have to avoid getting pushed around. If the Gator skill game is on, we have a scant chance to steal a win. At home would be diff. I think we kicked their a$$ last year.
Excluding today's few games & using Q3 or better games, here's where UF stands using adjusted (for opponent quality) offensive/defensive efficiency stats (data from barttorvik.com). We're good enough to beat most teams. The three close losses might've been wins with a team/staff that is more in sync through more time together.
This list is growing! Vandy, Mizzou, Arkansas Would like to see our guys get a home win against Miss St. It wouldn't necessarily make the Gators clearly better, but at least move 'em up a bit in the conf standings. I think we have a chance at being better than A&M, LSU, GA, & SC. That would put us just above the middle of the SEC. #7 in conf would be a pretty good goal for this team.
Well I see Kentucky just got 7’2” Ivisic cleared, he played against Georgia at home. He hit 4 - 3 pointers in a row in the first half, rebounded well, assisted others, got some steals and blocks. They are now the favorite to win the SEC and be in the final four. Handlogten is going to see a great, one and done, and see what a great center looks like. Ssshhh….
It does now look like the SEC has 3 teams with Final Four potential in Tennessee, Auburn and Kentucky.
If I go to a marijuana doctor to get a prescription, when he asks me why, will it work if I tell him that we lost to Georgia?
